HISTORY FILE
First registered on the 16th May 1960 and bought brand new by Mr William Berry from authorised Ford Dealers, Rumsey Limited in Bristol.  Cherished by him for 21 years until the second and only other custodian, Paul Guinness (now a well-known classic car journalist) purchased the vehicle in June 1981, as Mr Berry ‘upgraded’ to a new Fiesta. Paul was just 16 at the time.  The car had covered 56,000 miles at that point and the current low mileage of 69,210 has been reached during the 33 years that Paul has owned the car.  Although Paul learned to drive in this Anglia as soon as he passed his test he bought another Anglia for everyday use this example was used only sparingly for shows and club meetings.  Paul co-founded the Ford Anglia 105E Owners’ Club in 1982 where this car was a regular exhibit on the NEC club stand.  The car was kept on the road during the summer months through to 2005 when Paul decided that in 2013 it should undergo a full strip-down and rebuild to make it one of the world’s best examples.  Undoubtedly whoever buys it now will be getting the best-presented Anglia of its type, its restoration having cost more than three times the asking price alone.

The car comes complete with a professionally made plaque display board showing some of the events it attended in the 1980s, as well as a ‘silver’ plate that it won at a MkI Cortina OC event for Best Visitor’s Car.  Supplied are the original framed sales invoice, a host of old tax discs, plus a selection of original Anglia brochures, a parts book and much more.  An amazing opportunity.

This truly remarkable super chic Fiat Panda still wears its factory original paint in Fiat Bianco (code 210).  The paint finish is completely original and has been preserved in impeccable order, entirely commensurate with a garaged example with such amazing low mileage.  Only very faint scratches and paint imperfections can be seen upon close inspection and have been left untreated in order to uphold complete originality.  The famously lightweight body panels are structurally perfect, straight and largely free from car park dings.  This wonderful example was used in a Fiat dealership showroom to draw publicity to the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), Source; http://www.worldwildlife.org/.  The original decals including the WWF logo still adorn the vehicle and remain in excellent order with only very minor lift visible.  All original trim sections and badges are intact and even the supplying main dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain fitted!  Near impossible to find in such original, low mileage and unmolested order, this pristine example represents an amazing find.  A collectors dream.

INTERIOR
The delightfully sparse interior of this Panda harks back to a far simpler era of motoring with an emphasis on everything you need and not a lot more!  The term ‘factory fresh’ is often subject to interpretation but is truly justified in this instance.  Surprisingly comfortable, the Luxury style seats and matching door trim is spotless and completely free from wear.  All switchgear housed in the perfect fascia feels like new and all functions operate flawlessly, including the original Radiomobile stereo.  The steering wheel and gear knob display the factory natural veins to the surface only found on examples of such minimal usage!  The flawless headlining and spotless carpets with tailor made Fiat over mats uphold the wow factor and make this stunning Panda every inch a 1980’s Fiat showroom experience.  Classic city chic at its best!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the 999cc fully integrated and robotised engine, this car is surprisingly lively producing 45bhp at 5000rpm and maximum torque of 58lbs.ft at 2750rpm.  Quiet and remarkably economical (46.3mpg) due to simple single point fuel injection it will provide the new owner with very low running costs but maximum reliability and tremendous fun.  The beautifully light five speed gearbox fitted to this Super model offers a more relaxed cruising manner with improved flexibility and fuel consumption.  A guaranteed smile on your face once behind the wheel.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Five factory standard steel wheels are shod in the factory original Pirelli P8 155/65 R13 tyres with excellent tread remaining.  The tyres whilst visibly in excellent order must be considered as 25 year old items and renewal is perhaps wise if the car is to be put into regular use.  The multi spoke plastic wheel trims are in fantastic order with only ultra faint markings visible to only the most scrutinizing eye.  The spare wheel is correctly housed in the engine compartment which is incredibly clean with factory stickers displayed.  Independent brake circuits incorporating front discs and rear drums bring the car to a straight line stop quickly and safely.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new by Fiat Main Dealer Colmore of Birmingham on 31st October 1989 this example has led a truly cherished and pampered existence.  Pre-registered and then used as a promotional vehicle, the first and only private keeper was a Mrs Eileen Stanton.  Incredibly, Mrs Stanton kept the vehicle for over 24 years and covered a mere 8,405 miles!  Strictly garaged from new, her pride and joy has been cherished and beautifully preserved.  The original Fiat Panda Owners Handbook, Fiat Auto (U.K) Ltd Warranty Document and other point of sale literature are present along with an original new car sales brochure.  A collection of previous MOT certificates and invoices complete the history file for this very special car.

The original Fiat Panda is every inch a desirable cult classic, with this example representing surely the nearest you can get to a 1989 new car experience.  Not to be missed!
