HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 27th November 1989 by Volkswagen Main Dealer, Karmann in Barnet, this example is a very early car on a G prefix registration. This Nugget Yellow example has covered just 68,570 miles from new and has been enthusiast owned throughout. In 2010 the car was purchased by Karl Fasulo as he was in the process of launching KGF Classic Cars and the opportunity to buy the car back 13 years later is an emotional experience. Reminiscent of the days when he and his partner Rosie, now wife, would travel the country in the evenings after work to find unique classic cars in order to set up the business, this Corrado holds very special memories. The car was subsequently sold to the Chairman of the VW Corrado Club of Great Britain who owned two other examples. The following and most recent owner was indeed the Founder of the club, so the car has enjoyed very passionate and knowledgeable ownership! Respect and admiration in many Concours D’Elegance judging events is evidenced in the large history file with judging score sheets and there is also magazine and classic car newspaper publications whereby this actual car has been used as the benchmark for buying guides.

The original V.A.G grey document holder contains all the owner’s manuals, instructions pamphlets and dealer literature as well as the service book. The large service history file contains many main dealer invoices and all recent MOT’s have been carried out by VW with accompanying Health Check lists. A video of the latest Health Check confirms by the Master Technician that it is, ‘the best he has ever seen’. The most recent service was carried out using genuine VW parts in May 2023 and the cambelt was changed in July 2023. Two keys are present and a sales brochure. One of the best.

Diagonally split circuits brakes with servo assistance and front discs bring the car to a steady and straight halt.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 19th November 1992 by Volkswagen Main Dealer, Page Motors Limited of Bournemouth, the car has had just two former keepers from new, two of which being Mother and Son respectively. Mr Morris purchased the car new and owned it for three years at which point he was convinced by the pioneering newcomers to the UK motoring market, Daewoo, to whom the Polo was part exchanged for one of their brand-new models. Mrs Short subsequently purchased the car directly from the Daewoo Car Centre as a used vehicle at which point the car had covered just 15,955 miles. She owned the car for 25 years until in January 2020 the difficult decision was made to cease driving on health grounds, at which point the car was transferred to her son, Mr Nick Short.

The original service booklet contains a remarkable 26 stamped entries, incredible for such a low mileage car and an insight to the care this example has enjoyed with less than 50 miles covered since the most recent service. All handbooks, manuals and Daewoo dealership point of sale literature is included in the document wallet and there are two Volkswagen keys. Completing the history file is an original Polo range sales brochure. Personal inspection and drive of this example will not fail to impress for what is a rare surviving and cherished example of the iconic Polo ‘Breadvan’ design.
