This original low mileage example is a genuine Richard Holdsworth Vision conversion from new and has remained cossetted having covered just 35,633 miles. The beautiful Alpine White paintwork, (Code L90D), boasts a brilliant virtually mark free shine and excellent finish. Only very minor blemishes can be seen upon close inspection and the original decals show slight ageing perfectly acceptable and welcomed. All original panels are straight with uniform gaps and flawless seam lines completely free from corrosion issues, as is the underside. All trim sections, badges and decals to this beautifully preserved example are just as Volkswagen and Richard Holdsworth intended. Supplying dealer number plates and rear badge remain fitted and all the factory glass is number plate etched. The optional awning is in superb order owing to very minimal use and careful storage. A truly amazing retro camper presented in impeccable order.

INTERIOR
Exceptional design and build quality from the renowned conversion experts, Richard Holdsworth, this amazing example has remained precisely as per the build specification. All original fittings, fixtures and upholstery are wonderfully preserved and spotlessly clean. All soft furnishings are of Draylon woven rub-free fabric which remains in fantastic unworn condition. Additional factory quality carpeting to the cab and living area floors as well as leather effect moulds to minimise exposed metal areas complete the luxury appeal. The light ash furniture features genuine plywood and solid beech timber edgings to ensure optimum resilience. Piano brass hinges and catches further emphasise the first class mentality to the Richard Holdsworth product. All spotless cooking and washing facilities are intact and operational but have not been tested for performance or safety by KGF Classic Cars. Further functions and controls operate seamlessly and even the retractable room divider remains fitted! The ultimate mid-size classic camper van guaranteed to delight the most particular motor caravaner.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The water cooled 1915cc petrol engine develops 60bhp at 3700rpm and 140Nm of torque at just 2200rpm. Having covered such low mileage and enjoying enthusiast ownership, the performance is exceptionally quiet and smooth and mechanical operation perfect. The 5 speed manual gearbox offers sturdy yet effortless changes and relaxed 5th gear cruising. Simple mechanics and a huge parts supply network make this a very capable useable classic.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Standard 6 J X 14 steel rims are dressed in pristine original VW hubcaps all round and brand-new premium Goodyear 185 R14C reinforced tyres designed for vans were fitted in 2021 with less than 200 miles covered since. Powerful servo assisted brakes stop the vehicle quickly and in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new on 1st August 1990 by Volkswagen Main Dealers, Wolfe Garage of Kent, this superb Richard Holdsworth conversion has been cherished from new with a genuine 35,633 miles and huge supporting history file. Mr Dancy being the first keeper, a new vehicle order form and sales invoice outlines a purchase price of £16,288.33 and the original PDI sheet from Wolfe Garage remains. Throughout long-term family ownership, the vehicle was passed to his wife and then daughter who owned it until 2015. KGF Classic Cars at this point purchased the vehicle from her directly whereby it was sold to a loyal customer and serial car collector who has owned it ever since. Affectionately given the name Doris by his family, there have been leisure trips to the seaside but having now acquired three miniature Sausage Dogs, the decision to let Doris go rather than subject her to the new pack of dogs seems a considerate one! There is even a letter in the history file from the current owner to the next prospective custodian!

The colossal history file is quite simply incredible and thorough perusal would consume hours! All Volkswagen handbooks and guides are in the original V.A.G plastic wallet and the service record displays stamped entries up to August 2021. Absolutely all equipment instructions and guides have been kept to ensure working knowledge of every facility can be upheld. A huge collection of invoices and receipts are accompanied by every MOT certificate from three years old to fully warrant the mileage. Original Richard Holdsworth sales brochures and awning supplement complete the history file for this very special example only with the spare key and even many old tax discs! This example is guaranteed to attract appreciation from enthusiasts and collectors wanting the best on offer.
