ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A byword for Japanese reliability is the sturdy 1997cc SOHC 16v petrol engine fitted to this GLS example. Performance figures are quoted at 134bhp and 178Nm of torque to achieve 118 mph top speed and 0-62mph in 12.2 seconds. Registered new on the 10th October 2000 by Mitsubishi Main Dealer, Ashley Smithy Garage of Altrincham, this stunning example has covered a genuine 6,593 miles from new with one owner, Mr Fred Noble. Having purchased the car in retirement, Mr Noble cherished his Galant with strict garage storage and whilst mileage use was minimal, the car was regularly used and routinely taken for MOT each and every year. MOT certificates and records date back to 2005 to verify the mileage, as does the original service book containing a remarkable 13 entries. Standard on the 1986 GTS model are the iconic Pirelli ‘P Slot’ alloy wheels which first saw fame when fitted to the legendary Mk1 Golf GTi Campaign. The wheels are unrestored with the correct black aperture infills and some light aging and outer rim scratches barely visible. Originality seekers will be pleased to see the factory fitted and difficult to source Pirelli P6 tyres which add to the cars provenance and unmolested credentials are desirable but advised to be replaced if the car is to be regularly used. Diagonally split servo-assisted brakes with front discs and rear drums offer steady stopping capabilities.

HISTORY FILE
A wonderful history file is presented alongside this Limited-Edition Volkswagen Scirocco GTS which benefits from low owners and a verified 35,135 miles from new. The car was ordered in July 1986 from Volkswagen Main Dealer, Lionel Smith VAG in Manchester, by the first owner, Mrs Mary Waby. The order form and deposit receipts in the history file confirm the purchase price of £7,430 with delivery specified at 7:00am on the 1st August 1986, the day the all important new ‘D’ registration came out. The previous owner even managed to track down the salesman who sold the car to Mrs Waby who recalled there being a dealership employee BBQ on the night of the 31st July whereby at midnight the sales team left the showroom to deliver many new cars, including this example, to owners driveways in order that they would wake up to a brand new ‘D’ plate car! The car is registered with four owners however in fact the first two were Mrs Waby who mistakenly re-registered the car upon changing address. Used solely as a second weekend car and stored in a heated garage, Mrs Waby sold the car in 2014 after 28 years of ownership and there have been just two further owners. There is a neatly presented history file containing many VAG main dealer and specialist invoices as well as MOT certificates dating back to 1990 to further verify the low mileage. All handbooks, guides and point of sale literature remain in the dealership branded document wallet. Completing the history file is a workshop manual and a collection of period Scirocco sales brochures including a separate one for this Limited-Edition GTS model. Triumph TR6 PI

EXTERIOR
The Triumph TR6 needs little introduction in the world of classic British sports cars and this prime UK example is a brilliant testament to one of Coventry’s finest. Finished in the striking factory colour of Pimento Red, (Code 72), the paintwork looks fantastic and boasts a deep polished shine and uniform finish. The panel fit and gaps are very good and the underside is very clean with no inferior repairs visible. There are some minor spidering of the paint below the headlamps and all chrome is bright and undamaged with only very faint pitting to the rear bumper and some tarnishing to the smaller pieces. The hood is original factory fitment and remains in very good order with just two tiny nicks to the outer layer and the rear and side Perspex screen are fully intact. All trim sections and original badges remain fitted and intact and even the first tax disc remains in the windscreen! This muscular TR6 is a very genuine and beautiful looking car.

INTERIOR
A very original interior will delight those seeking a TR6 that remains true to the original Triumph product when it rolled off the production line in March 1973. The original expanded PVC leathercloth with ventilated seat facings in Black, (Code 11), are in excellent undamaged condition. The factory original non-glare wood finish fascia with a completely uncracked padded surround is in excellent order, as are the black vinyl door cards where there is just a tiny hairline crack to the driver’s side door pull. Considering all factory trim including the steering wheel and gear knob remain fitted, minor imperfections such as a small split to the handbrake gaiter can be forgiven and easily replaced with reproduction parts. The original Smiths gauges operate and provide healthy readings and the interior equipment operates as it should. A non-period replacement stereo has been fitted. Unspoilt and true to Triumph factory build.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The factory straight six-cylinder engine can be confirmed by the engine number clearly stamped in the block as matching that on the heritage certificate issued by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust. Displacing 2498cc, this UK 125bhp engine has received subtle reliability improvement upgrades such as electronic ignition. The engine performs brilliantly and the sound emitting from the correct specification twin side exit exhausts is truly intoxicating. The beautifully clean engine bay retains all factory plates and stickers to include the two metal body number tags on the bulkhead, one fitted by the body tub manufacturer and the other fitted by Triumph. The commission plate also remains fitted to the inner B-pillar instead of the engine bay which is correct for a 1973 car. Factory specified with overdrive which is fully operational, the sturdy 4-speed transmission works wonderfully.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original steel disc type wheels with bright finish polycarbonate hub trims and chromium plated embellishers look superb. All wheels including the spare are shod in matching premium brand classic Vredstein Sprint ST 185 SR15 tyres as recommended by many members of the Triumph TR Register. The brakes are hydraulic divided with a direct acting servo and front discs to give positive stopping power and has silicon fluid.

HISTORY FILE
The heritage certificate in the history file issued by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirms this TR6 PI was built for the RHD, home market on the 26th March 1973 in Pimento Red with Black hood and Black trim. Date of despatch was 3rd April 1973 to the supplying dealer, A G Wilson Limited of Leeds. The heritage certificate confirms further details including factory options as well as the engine, body and chassis numbers all of which correlate and matches with the vehicle. Finally, it is confirmed that the car was registered on the 12th June 1973 to first owner Mr Cuthbert Turnbull.

Remarkably the car has had only three owners in total and covered just 57,234 miles from new. Mr Turnbull kept the car until 1979 when a newspaper advert, the cutting for which is in the history file, was taken out to advertise the car for £1,995! A sales invoice in the history file reveals that the car was sold by Central Garage in Batley to the second owner, Mr John Armitage, for £1,850 in September 1979. Mr Armitage kept the car for 36 years until in 2015 it was purchased by the third and only other keeper, Mr Charles O’Donnell, for £21,500. Since taking ownership, Mr O’Donnell who is an avid enthusiast who always wanted a TR6, has enjoyed the car immensely and maintained it to the highest order with annual service and maintenance invoices in the history file. The most recent service and maintenance at a specialist in September 2019 is supported by an invoice for £856.55. After five years of ownership Mr O’Donnell has now decided to purchase a classic Porsche 911 which has necessitated the sale of his beloved TR6. Completing the history file is the original handbook and service data card, previous V5 registration documents tracing ownership and spare sets of keys. This unspoilt example is very special and is certain to delight the next owner wanting a factory correct car.

The sophisticated AJ-V8 4.2 litre 32 valve, all aluminium lightweight engine packs 298bhp and 420Nm of torque, enough to propel this Cat to 60mph in 6.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. The gorgeous original 20” Senta alloy wheels were a £2,500 factory option and they look incredible with no kerb damage whatsoever. Original black and chrome ‘growler’ centre caps are still fitted with only very slight delamination, barely visible. Matching premium Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres, (255/35 ZR20 front and 285/30 ZR20 rear), have plenty of tread remaining. The immaculate boot area with Jaguar plastic mat houses the untouched wheel changing apparatus and original Pirelli space saver which is unused. HISTORY FILE
This XK150 XK 4.2L V8 Convertible has covered a warranted and low 23,421 miles with just two owners from new. Registered new on the 17th April 2008 by Hardwoods Chichester Jaguar, the first owner was a Mr Rossiter who kept the car for over ten years. In August 2018 the second and only other keeper, Mr Harris, purchased the car from a performance car specialist for £22,500 with the sales invoice kept in the history file.

The service book displays 6 stamped entries, the first four being the supplying Jaguar main dealer. Inspired by the now Late Colin McRae’s victorious Ford Focus RS World Rally Car, the Ford Focus RS was created as a no frills, no compromise road going rally car, a car true to its motorsport roots. Designed in conjunction with Ford Racing Engineers and M-Sport in Cumbria, the RS badge synonymous with the most desirable, high performance Ford vehicles was first introduced to the already accomplished Focus. All the glass, plastics and light clusters are fully intact and originality seekers will be pleased to see factory window etchings and factory stickers in the door apertures. The underside is commensurate with the mileage covered and still wears original markings such as the chassis and serial stickers on the rear suspension arms! This clean and very useable example is ready for enjoyment, just as Ford intended it to be.

INTERIOR
Inside this white-hot Ford are a pair of body-hugging Sparco road-race seats swathed in luxurious Racing Black and Blue Leather and Black Alcantara, (Code AR). The RS and Sparco logos are embossed and stitched into the upholstery, and this coupled with the aluminium fittings, push button start and numbered plaque, leave you with little doubt this is no ordinary Focus! The interior is beautifully preserved and the seats are completely free from damage and have firm bolsters all-round. The steering wheel blue leather, a known weak point, is bright and unworn thanks to being replaced by a genuine Ford item in 2014 with an invoice from Ford for £632.45. The RS carpet mats remain fitted and are further protected by a second set of genuine Ford Focus mats. All controls function including the ice-cold air conditioning and Ford 6006E stereo. The conscientious owner has replaced the coin tray, (included), and installed a slot-in ScanGauge vital systems monitor to keep a watchful eye on water temperature amongst other readings. Ford built this car to truly delight its motorsport loving RS devoted fan base and the long-awaited car did not disappoint.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the thumping Ford 2.0 Duratec RS four-cylinder 16v unit the power output achieved is 212bhp at 5500rpm and 310Nm torque at 3500rpm. Sparkling Brembo 4-pot calipers are visible through the large spoke apertures and 324mm ventilated front and 280mm rear discs provide immense stopping power and sharpened handling thanks to replacement KW coilovers fitted at standard height.

HISTORY FILE
The history file for this highly sought-after Focus RS is simply outstanding. Factory build specification sheets confirm that number 486 rolled of the production line at 08:16 on the 28th November 2002 ready to be dispatched the supplying Ford Main Dealer, King Ford of Stoke on Trent. The first owner was Mr Grahame Pryce and his journey with the much-awaited Focus RS Mk1 began long before it was even made. Several letters in the history file from 2001 acknowledge his pre-order for one of these limited number cars and confirm his place on the waiting list. Further letters followed to update this patient buyer and to advise of delays in delivery. Ford wanted to get it just right and they sure did! First registration was on New Year’s Day 2003 and post-delivery letters and Ford welcome pack from the supplying dealer have all been kept in the immaculately presented history folder which is divided in neat sections. Each section houses many Ford main dealer service invoices, maintenance invoices and MOT certificates dating back to the first in 2005. In September 2019 a documented major service was carried out as well as a cambelt, drive belt, tensioner and pulleys all using genuine Ford parts.

All original handbooks, guides and special RS supplement are contained within the Ford leather RS wallet along with the service book containing seven stamped entries. Two keys are present. Look no further for an unspoilt, impeccably maintained and useable Focus RS Mk1, pure blue-oval brilliance.

A further letter of apology from the Ford Motor Company. This time from Focus Brand Specialist, Ashley Andrew. The reason? A unique front assembly kit only being available in limited numbers. How about an exclusive 60 minute familiarisation and test drive session at the Gaydon Test Facility to say sorry? Remember, demand was very high for this eagerly awaited RS but you could complete the cancellation form and send back in the prepaid envelope if you got fed up of waiting! We wonder how many did?

EXTERIOR
This fantastic Ford Capri, one of the last ever examples to be registered in the UK is finished in Ford Diamond White, (Code B3). The super clean paint finish has a bright uniform shine and all panels are straight with even gaps. Structurally perfect, the underside is very clean and the low mileage and cosseted ownership are clearly evident. Some remedial paintwork has previously been carried out to a high standard in order to uphold the spectacular appeal of this car. All exterior trim items, rubbers and decals are in excellent order and hard to source fitments such as the rubber spoiler and colour coded front grill are pleasingly immaculate. Even the supplying dealer branded number plates with matching registration etched glass remain. The original Ford dealer rear screen sticker and tax disc holder further the appeal of this beautifully preserved example of a Ford icon.

INTERIOR
The interior of this 2.8 Injection looks and feels fantastic with grey high-grade leather and ‘Strobe’ pattern fabric centre panels, (Code Q5). The supportive and comfortable Recaro seats are in excellent condition with only very mild discolouration to the leather on the driver’s seat upper bolster. The deep pile grey carpeting is unmarked and the black perforated headlining unique to the 2.8 Injection is perfect. The leather covered steering wheel and matching gear knob are in beautiful unworn order, commensurate with the genuine mileage covered. The dashboard has suffered only three thin cracks which are noticeable upon close inspection. All controls function faultlessly including the two-speed heater fan and analogue quartz clock. The original factory fit Ford push button radio remains in situ and fully functional, as does the electric aerial. A very clean and unmolested Ford Capri interior, simply wonderful.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Capri 2.8 Injection was the first offering of the new Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) operation that had recently been set up in Dunton, Essex. SVE added a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, an oil/water heat exchanger, viscous coupled fan and an improved radiator making these models 158 BHP capable of 130mph and 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds. The engine is smooth and quiet and yet produces an intoxicating roar on demand! A professionally detailed engine bay allows for bonnet up exhibiting and factory plates, stickers and component labels are present. The 5-speed gearbox is light and progression through the range is precise.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This Capri is fitted with the factory original 7-spoke alloy wheels with correct Ford badged centre caps. Very minor tarnishing and scratches to the outer rims are visible upon close scrutiny and the Ford centre cap badges have dulled. The wheels are shod in matching tyres of size 205/60 R13 tyres with plenty of tread remaining. The hydraulic dual-line servo-assisted brakes with ventilated front discs unique on the 2.8 Special stop the car quickly and in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
This fantastic Ford Capri 2.8 Injection, a very late registered example on a rare E prefix has had just three keepers from new. The supplying Ford Main Dealer, Maidenhead Autos, registered the car on 1st August 1987 and supplied the car to first owner J & A Electrics of Uxbridge who kept the car for an incredible 18 years! Just two further keepers, both members of the Capri Owners Club, have cherished the car ever since. The previous owner embarked on a recent 3,000-mile tour of Italy on which he reported the car to have performed perfectly. The huge history file contains vast collection of receipts and invoices from specialist suppliers including The Capri Club along with almost every MOT dating back to the very first in 1990. Recent expenditure includes a replacement clutch and the use of Evans waterless coolant has been adopted. This comprehensive history file includes the original Ford handbooks and guides enables the reader to fully track and document the low 60,419 miles covered.

Factory built passenger carrying vehicle, nine forward facing trimmed seats, side and rear doors with steps, sliding windows, door mirrors, black coated bumpers, mud flaps, cross-ribbed rear compartment rubber mat, front sun visors, wood veneer fascia, front parcel shelf, speedometer and distance recorder, fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, engine preheat and stop lever, two-speed wipers with flick-wipe, two speed heater/demister unit, cab lamp, rear compartment lamp, front and rear ashtrays, warning triangle.

EXTERIOR
This iconic Leyland Sherpa 250 Minibus is a delivery mileage vehicle preserved in totally original condition. Factory-built, this Minibus has covered a genuine 87 miles from new and is finished in factory optional single colour gloss paint in Navy-Blue, (Code JAL). The paintwork is incredible and has been preserved thanks to dry indoor storage away from weather conditions and damaging UV light. Most examples began to rust and had acquired a plethora of bodywork damage within their first year, yet this example boasts perfectly straight panels and no rust whatsoever. Further factory originality is seen in the panel seams, spot welds and genuine ‘Leyland standard’ paint with the occasional run! Close scrutiny reveals nothing more than a small ding to the driver’s door and one to the nearside rear panel. A repair to the drivers step due to jacking error has been professionally carried out. The underside is equally as breath-taking. Thin poorly applied factory underseal remains with areas missed due to poor quality control and full inspection of the box sections and structure will amaze. There are coloured factory paint dabs, PDI markings and even a paper parts label still attached to one rear leaf spring! This is an astonishing vehicle.

INTERIOR
A true time warp interior even down to the nostalgia evoking British Leyland smell! The nine forward facing fully trimmed seats in black vinyl, (Code PMA), are as new having been subjected to just 87 miles of usage, the only imperfection being a small nick to the rear bench seat corner virtually hidden which probably occurred when assembled. The headlining is spotlessly clean and in perfect condition, as are the PVC padded door panels and full-length rubber floor mat. The wood veneer fascia and all switchgear are immaculately preserved. All equipment, interior lamps and dashboard lights and gauges operate. This untouched example boasts further original features such as almost unmarked wheel arch tubs, cab steps with factory information plates and even the original glue to the floor covering which has never been lifted. Tools and warning triangle are present and unused. It is miraculous to find such an amazing unrestored Sherpa interior whereby no amount of money could ever recreate the originality on display here.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Factory fitted with the dieselised version of the BMC B-Series engine, this simple 4-cylinder 1798cc unit develops a wheezy 52bhp and 107Nm of torque. The engine cranks into life after preheat and idles perfectly. The unit pulls strongly and cleanly in all gears and the traditional diesel clatter is simply delightful! The spotless engine bay is untouched even down to the original sound deadening fully intact to the bonnet underside. The inner wings, bulkhead and slam panel are immaculate and factory plates, stickers and stampings remain untouched. Even the mesh sump guard has not been lost or damaged. The four speed all-synchromesh gearbox is surprisingly easy to use and offers crisp and sturdy changes.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The steel wheels wear full cover stainless hub caps in lieu of chrome centre caps and brand-new commercial rated 195 R14C tyres were fitted in 2016 to replace the originals. An unused spare wheel and factory tyre remains in the underhung cradle. Divided hydraulic servo-assisted brakes with 10.87in front discs and 9in rear drums are standard fitment and all braking ancillaries such as the zinc plated front calipers look almost new!

HISTORY FILE
Unique vehicles such as this Leyland Sherpa 250 Minibus often have, as in this case too, an interesting back story. A letter in the history file dated 23rd November 2018 from Nigel Harrison of the Morris Commercial Club confirms that following a vehicle inspection, this Minibus was manufactured in the UK and exported when new to Portugal. Portuguese registration took place on 25th March 1982 using plate number IZ-00-41. A copy of the Passport to Service details the Minibus being first registered to Josefina Rodrigues Viegas Perfinas. It is reported in a magazine article in UK publication, Classic Van and Pick up, that tragic bizarre events befell the first owner following the loss of life to him and his wife prior to collection. Complex Portuguese inheritance laws meant that property of a deceased went to the state after a number of years unless claimed beforehand. A system that allowed claims to be made was in place, however it was a convoluted affair that could, and very often did, take years to resolve. In the meantime the Dealer was under an obligation to keep the vehicle in its current condition unused until the issue was resolved, which did indeed take many years. In fact this Sherpa remained with the dealer in secure dry storage for decades. In 2016 Mr Alan Jeynes of Redcar, Cleveland, saw an advert for the vehicle placed by a classic vehicle Dealer in Santa-Maria de Lamas, he promptly purchased the Minibus blind and arranged transportation 1,500 miles to his home! Full UK registration and recommissioning has taken place and in 2018 the second UK owner purchased the vehicle to join his eclectic collection of classic cars due to Alans poor health. The magazine feature written by Brian Culpan makes the front cover and is titled ‘A most amazing minibus’. He concludes after a three page glowing feature; ‘Having spent several hours closely inspecting this Sherpa, I remain amazed and almost speechless at its original condition’. All handbooks and guides remain in the Leyland document wallet and there is a separate file of Portuguese documentation, the magazine feature and an original ‘Sherpa, Loads Better’ sales brochure. An unmissable opportunity and true museum artifact in every respect.

Inside this Fast Ford are a pair of body-hugging Recaro Mondus sports seats swathed in two-tone ST Orange Cloth, (Code AY). The Recaro logos are embossed and stitched into the upholstery which is preserved in perfect condition. The ST Sports steering wheel, jet black headlining, submarine lighting, brushed aluminium gear knob and handbrake grip and racing pedals help to carry on the fast Ford tradition of injecting excitement into everyday family cars. Low mileage indicators such as unworn touch points and virtually unmarked door sill tread plates are evident. All functions and controls are fully operational and exactly as Ford intended, and the air conditioning is ice cold. A truly cossetted example and difficult to distinguish from a 2007 Ford showroom car.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unique 8 x 18in ST five-spoke rims with correct centre caps are unrestored and in almost pristine condition with only two minuscule marks to the offside front rim, barely noticeable. The collector seeking originality will be delighted to see the factory fitted Continental SportContact 2 tyres which should be replaced prior to usage due to age. In lieu of a spare wheel and correct for the ST model is the original Continental zip case with compressor and untouched tyre sealant. The braking system with ABS and electronic brake-force distribution incorporates discs all round and provides sure footed stopping power to match the formidable performance.
