SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

A tremendous Porsche Boxster S 3.2 manual with only 18,846 miles.

EQUIPMENT
Sports chassis, rigidly tuned springs, shock absorbers and stabiliser bars, Porsche Side Impact Protection System (POSIP), Porsche Stability Management, roll-over protection, dual cargo areas, electric convertible top, CR22 Sound System. Factory options; Metallic paint, 18” 993 Turbo Look alloy wheels, coloured Porsche centre crests, top tinted windscreen, full leather interior, automatic climate control, CDC-3 6CD autochanger, wind deflector. Dealer accessories; Tailored carpet mats.

EXTERIOR
Finished in factory optional Arctic Silver Metallic, (Code L92U), the gleaming paintwork looks fantastic with a bright uniform shine to the beautifully straight bodywork. The incredibly low 18,846 miles covered is evident in the condition of this example and close scrutiny reveals nothing more than light cosmetic markings and a very light rub to the rear bumper edge. A very clean underside will greet those wishing to carry out a ramp inspection. The UV-resistant hood in Metropole Blue is flawless in both electric operation and cosmetic condition, and the rear screen is clear with only very faint markings. All trim sections and badges are correct and intact. An exceptional car in a condition far superior to the usual offerings.

INTERIOR
Typical Porsche quality is to be expected in this well-appointed sports car cabin space. The Metropole Blue full leather upholstery, (Code EX), an expensive option when new and almost black in appearance, has remained in spotless condition with virtually no wear visible aside from a very light blemish to the driver’s door card. The carpets are spotless having been protected from new by tailored Porsche over mats and the steering wheel displays natural prominent veins, a feature lost on higher mileage examples. Beautifully clean dual cargo areas reflect the minimal use and the factory build sticker to the bonnet underside and Mobil 1 sticker in the rear compartment remain intact. All functions operate perfectly including the ice-cold climate control and stereo system and all LCD displays are perfect with no failed pixels. Stunning.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the robust flat six Porsche Boxer Engine, namesake to the Boxster, this powerplant requires little introduction. Controlled by the Motronic ME7.2 engine management system, Porsche Engineers developed 248hp from the 3,179cc unit to allow 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 161mph! The punchy raw sound delivered from the standard exhaust system is guaranteed to set the pulse racing. The preferred 6-speed manual transmission is short and incredibly direct with immediacy, exactly as you would expect from Porsche.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 18” 993 Turbo Look alloy wheels with coloured Porsche centre crests are both very expensive factory fitted options and are in exceptional order. Brand new and correct Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres of size 225/40 ZR18 and 265/35 ZR18 front and rear respectively were fitted in August 2020. The ABS assisted braking system incorporates 4-Wheel ventilated and cross-drilled discs with 4-piston fixed monobloc callipers. The correct Boxster S specification Porsche Red painted callipers are clearly visible through the spokes and hint towards the racing pedigree infused within the cars genes.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 1st March 2002 the car was first registered to a partner of a solicitor’s firm, D P Hardy in Liverpool. After nine months of ownership the car was purchased by Mrs Sara Backhouse who owned the car for 18 years! Having covered just 18,846 miles from new, this garaged and dry usage example clearly has been cherished. The black Porsche leather wallet contains all handbooks, guides and dealership point of sale material as well as the original hardback marketing literature for the Boxster range. In July 2020 the car was taken to the Official Porsche Centre Swindon for a major service including drive v-belt, spark plugs and brake fluid. The corresponding service book entry and supporting invoice for £804.67 along with the invoice for brand new tyres for £538.76 are kept in the history file. A further folder of invoices completes the service history.

The previous owner and classic car collector, Mr Richard Meadows, came across an advert for our Morris Leyland Sherpa Minibus with 87 miles from new and decided he simply had to have it! The Porsche Boxster had to make way for the Sherpa and KGF Classic Cars are delighted to acquire this premium example. Wanting for absolutely nothing other than the next appreciative owner to enjoy and preserve, this coveted model Boxster S 3.2 will delight in every respect.
