EXTERIOR
Exquisite in every possible way. The striking Solar Red with Old English White roof, (Code WEN), is factory fresh having covered such low miles and having been perfectly stored in a centrally heated garage. The optional Sport Pack, unmarked decals and bright chrome work complement the polished paint to create an as new appearance. The underside is outstanding with no surface rust, just factory finish throughout. Perfectionists will marvel in the untouched nature of this example soon lost on cars with even the most adoring owners. A miniscule mark to the nearside quarter is barely visible and a chrome GB badge and door escutcheons were fitted from new. Without doubt, one of the best.

INTERIOR
With just 992 miles covered since new, the Monaco seat facings in Black/Light Stone Beige, (Code SMM), are pristine along with the rest of the interior. Lustrous burr walnut veneer adorns the facia and having been specified with the optional Sports Pack also houses additional fully functional gauges. The Leather trimmed gearknob and Black/Beige leather trimmed steering wheel are unworn and vibrant and the plump carpets have been protected by genuine Mini Cooper velour mats. A reminder maintenance tag to return to the dealer in 1200 miles is still attached to the gear stick and the Alloy Accessory Pack remains a desirable dealer fitted accessory. The boot area is spotlessly unused as is the virgin spare and original jack in the Mini pouch.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The time proven Rover Group A-Series engine utilises the 1275cc unit mated to twin-point fuel Injection to lower emissions and increase performance to a refined yet punchy 62bhp. The delightful and unobtrusive rasp from the factory standard exhaust is a familiar note. The engine bay is spotless and factory standard to allow exhibiting. The vehicle still has all the fluids, filters and service items as it rolled off the production line at Longbridge. At the request of the next custodian these items can be replaced at no cost but equally it is understood if preservation is preferred. The four speed gearbox is smooth, precise and a pleasure to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Cooper Sport 13in alloy wheels with the correct green Mini centre logo caps remain in fantastic order and are still shod in matching Dunlop SP Sport 3000 175/50 R13 tyres from new. Although new in appearance and original fitment is desired by collectors, due to age, a change is recommended if use is intended. The servo assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums bring the car to a prompt and assured halt and the car rolls freely.

HISTORY FILE
An astonishing history. Purchased new by Mini fanatic, Patrick James Callinan, (his personalised plate remains on the vehicle from new C8 PJC), this example was registered on the 3rd May 2000. Wanting one of the final classic Mini’s before production ceased he ordered the car directly from Rover MG Main Dealer, Houtkamp B.V. in Amsterdam. At the time they offered UK buyers a saving on factory ordered RHD UK specification cars and even paid for travel and accommodation! Safe in the knowledge this car is identical to the one supplied by his local dealer and the prospect of a fun European drive home, he placed the order. Unfortunately soon after his return he passed suddenly. His partner, Teresa Doree, relays the story in writing to be included in the cars history file, that she could not bear the thought of selling the car with so many adventures planned together and it remained in her cherished care until 2016. At this time the car was sold to a car collector Mr West who continued the preservation and factory immaculate storage. A full complement of keys, tags and remotes are included. On a successful sale KGF Classic Cars will discuss options regarding servicing and MOT carried out at the buyers discretion and at no cost.
