An ultra-rare Mk1 VW Passat 1300 with just 25,207 miles and two keepers.

EQUIPMENT
Rigid safety cell passenger compartment, impact absorbing crumple zones, underbody and wheel housing protection, safety steering wheel with Wolfsburg Crest, child safety locks, window demisters, chrome bumpers with plastic mouldings, safety inner door handles, safety interior mirror, courtesy light, parking lights, emergency light function, temperature gauge, warning instrumentation.  Factory options; Metallic paint.  Dealer options; Ziebart treatment, seatbelts.

EXTERIOR
This incredibly rare Mk1 Passat remains totally unspoilt and showcases remarkable originality.  The factory Ancona Blue Metallic (code L97B), a cost option from new, displays a beautiful deep shine and uniform finish that defies its age.  The vehicle has been garaged all its life.  All trim sections, lights, rubbers and badges are incredibly well preserved.  The Ziebart plug holes remain as evidence to the original owner’s forward thinking, knowing perhaps that he were to keep the car for 35 years!  The supplying dealer pressed number plates, rear screen sticker and Ziebart sticker remain attached.  Even the running in schedule is still affixed in the windscreen!  This humble base model Passat is a fantastic testament to Volkswagen build quality, and puts emphasis on just how far the latest variant has come.  Hugely nostalgic.

INTERIOR
The dual tone Houndstooth cloth upholstery in Tan is fully commensurate with the low 25,207 miles covered and will delight perfection seeking individuals.  All controls and gauges housed within the pristine fascia work seamlessly with a quality engineered feel.  The slim safety steering wheel proudly displays the Wolfburg Crest and is virtually as new.  Only tiny areas of discoloration to the headlining around the B pillars are worthy of mention.  Just as Volkswagen intended and in immaculate order, the original rubber matting to the passenger compartment was protected by the first long term owner with carpet cut outs and the clean boot area has the original jack present.  It is very clear to see why Volkswagen’s quality and finish was the envy of car makers at the time, and this Mk1 Passat epitomes this notion perfectly.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Passat is fitted with the four cylinder 1296cc engine with an overhead camshaft producing 60bhp at 5800rpm.  This economical option achieves a top speed of 92mph and sales literature quotes 0-50 in 11 seconds.  The beautifully clean engine bay is totally standard and original with VW/Audi panel stampings along with many genuine VW/Audi Group parts which are clear to see.  The four speed all syncromesh gearbox is precise and a joy to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The standard styled perforated wheels with drop-centre rims of size 4½J x 13 remain in fantastic order and are shod all round in Goodyear 155/80 R13 tyres.  Diagonal dual circuit brakes incorporate discs to the front and offer assured stopping power as you would expect from this safety conscious manufacturer.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Volkswagen Main Dealers, Bristol Street Motors Ltd of Nottingham on the 14th October 1975, an original new car order form and sales invoice made out to first keeper Mr Louis Tyacke outlines a purchase price of £1.964.42 including options extra of metallic paint (£36.87) and seat belts (£26.00).  Incredibly, Mr Tyacke remained the sole keeper for 35 years until his passing in 2010 whereby ownership of his pride and joy transferred to his sister, Mrs Eunice Swift.
The remarkably low mileage of 25,207 miles is supported by the original service book containing solely Volkwagen Main Dealer stamps, the most recent being in 2014 at 25,139 miles.  Furthermore, the large history folder contains previous MOT certificates and supporting documentation.  The vehicle instruction manual, original blue V5 registration document and a Mk1 Passat sales brochure completes the superb history file.  Built to last and very well maintained by the fastidious and devoted owner, the correct recipe for this cars longevity.

EXTERIOR
The only Audi TT model built by Audi AG high-performance specialist subsidiary Quattro GmbH in Germany, the Quattro TT Sport or TT Club Sport as it was known in Europe was built in very limited numbers.  Just 800 UK cars were produced, less than the 1000 cars originally intended, and this example finished in original Phantom Black (code LZ9Y) is simply exceptional.  The low mileage and enthusiast owner credentials are obvious and even the strictest perfection seeker will struggle to fault the finish.  Correct black exhaust tips and wider arch spats are unique for the TT Sport.  An outstanding example of this much revered and coveted TT Coupe.

INTERIOR
Having covered such few miles, the interior of this Audi TT remains in remarkable condition.  The original Recaro Bucket seats with Phantom Black seat backs intended for the TT Sport remain fitted and are alternative to the less desirable standard sport seats that were available as a no cost option chosen by some buyers on comfort grounds.  The black alcantara/leather seats coverings (code TW) are in fantastic order.  All trims pieces, controls and functions are virtually as new with only minor bobbling to the alcantara covering on the steering wheel.  Obvious weight saving measures to contribute towards to overall weight loss of 75kg is achieved by a stability bar and luggage net in place of the rear seat, and removal of the spare wheel and heated seats.  The discreet and unique Quattro Sport badge above the glove box acts as a subtle hint towards this very special TT’s capabilities.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The increased power from the 1.8 turbocharged engine rising to 240bhp is the result of a different mapping profile and offers an explosive 0-60mph time of 5.7 seconds and limited top speed of 155mph.  Further weight saving and weight distribution measures were achieved by the removal of the rear counterweight and relocation of the battery to the rear of the vehicle.  The engine compartment is unmolested, spotless and has all stickers and plates clearly visible.  The Quattro permanent four-wheel drive system mated to a precise 6-speed gearbox offers phenomenal stability and driver enjoyment.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique to the Quattro Sport and in perfect order, the original 8J x 18 front and 8.5J x 18 rear alloys wheels remain fitted and are shod in the correct 235/40 R18 Goodyear Eagle tyres with masses of tread.  The braking system offers assured and safe braking power with the callipers painted red as another distinguishing feature of the Quattro Sport.  Without question the most desirable production TT driving experience and this example is truly exceptional.

All handbooks are contained within the smart black A5 wallet including Audi staff business cards and point of sale literature.  Two sets of keys with number tags still attached complete the history file.  Exemplary in every respect, this cossetted Audi TT Quattro Sport has wanted from nothing and will certainly impress the discerning enthusiast seeking the best.
