Accessories and personalisation; Checker decals, carbon dipped exterior trim, white Ford badges, carbon dipped engine covers, chrome battery cover, sports rear exhaust, red painted callipers, ST carpet mats, ST key fob.

EXTERIOR
This Fiesta ST150 has covered a very low and verified 38,938 miles from new with just two owners. The beautiful Colorado Red paintwork looks fantastic with a deep uniform shine and very few markings. All trim sections are in excellent condition with no damage worthy of mention. There is some light delamination to the edges of the tinted rear glass and the driver’s door edge has been carefully touched in to a few places. Supplying dealer number plates remain as well as factory stickers and labels in the door shuts. KGF Classic Cars sold this car in 2019 as a one owner, low mileage example in totally standard and original condition. The second owner has added some personalised touches to the trim and engine bay all of which have been done carefully and are easily reversible back to standard.

INTERIOR
A very clean and well cared for interior. The original ST-branded partial leather sports front seats in Infra-Red Wire are very clean with no fading or visible wear aside from tiny hairline creases to the driver’s seat bolster. Bright red ST emblems to the seats, steering wheel and sill scuff plates are standard fitment and the factory optional ST Interior Styling pack with Piano Black fascia trim with Graphite GT stripes looks great. The air conditioning is not ice cold. An unmolested hot hatch Ford interior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the Ford 2.0 litre Duratec engine, the power output is quoted as 147bhp at 6000rpm and 190Nm torque at 4500rpm. The maximum speed is 129mph while 0-60 is dispatched in just 7.9 seconds! The engine bay is clean and displays factory stickers, panels stamps and clear chassis number stamping. The engine dressings added by the second owner are easily reverted back to standard. The standard Durashift 5-speed manual transmission operates perfectly and thanks to a performance exhaust there is a throaty exhaust note, again easy to revert back to standard. The car drives and runs brilliantly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique ST design 17” alloy wheels and Ford badged centre caps are in excellent condition with no curb damage. Matching Pirelli PZero Nero 205/40 ZR17 have good tread remaining to the rear and the two front tyres fitted brand new in September 2022. The original space saver spare wheel still wears the factory Continental rubber and the Ford jack and wheel brace are present. Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with discs to all four wheels stops the car straight and steady.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 15th March 2005 by Ford Main Dealers, Bristol Street Motors of West Bromwich, this prime example has covered just 38,938 miles from new with two owners. KGF Classic Cars purchased the car from the original lady owner in February 2019 whereby it was then sold to the second and only further keeper. The second lady owner is an avid Ford enthusiast and owns a Focus ST and has only decided to sell this car after falling in love with a newer model Fiesta ST. Personalised touches are shown in the photos but can be returned back to standard.

The Ford zip up document wallet houses the original handbook and service book which has 12 stamped entries to fully verify the mileage, 10 of which are by a franchised main dealer. The most recent service has just been carried out in September 2022 at 38,938 miles using genuine Ford parts with invoice to evidence. Two Ford keys and an original Fiesta ST150 brochure complete the history file along with a folder of receipts and previous MOT certificates.

Not meeting the usual KGF Classic Cars stock profile due to the personalisation but not detracting from the cars overall excellent attributes, we are offering this example for sale on a part exchange to clear basis. The car looks superb and performs as such and represents a fantastic useable example and one which could be returned to standard and made highly desirable to follow the path of previous Ford icons such as the Fiesta Supersport and XR2. Alternatively, simply enjoy it as it is! All servicing is up to date and the car is requiring nothing for immediate enjoyment. Full inspection and test drive is welcome.

EXTERIOR
The original Fiesta ST is fast becoming a highly sought-after modern classic hot hatchback, and none are more coveted than the ST500 run-out special edition. Just 500 examples were produced for the UK market, all in Ford Panther Black metallic, (Code D2). This outstanding example has covered just 27,424 miles from new and has been detailed for competing in concours events. The pristine and factory original paintwork is incredible with a deep uniform shine to the pin-straight bodywork. A tiny touched in chip to the passenger door is the only imperfection worthy of mention. The racy ‘Aero’ body-styling kit and chunky sports trim sections are as new and the unique ST500 boot badge and special decal kit are perfect. The underside and wheel apertures are spotless with credit due to the previous owner who underwent a painstaking process of underside detailing which also involved extensive replacement of genuine ford clips, bolts, brackets and fixings to complete the concours remit. Factory stickers and labels remain in the door shuts and original Ford dealer number plates, tax disc holder and rear screen sticker still attached. This is a real collector’s example.

INTERIOR
Inside this sporting hot Ford are a pair of body-hugging ST-branded sports seats in Ebony Black full leather, (Code 3A). The entire cabin space, seats and trim can only be described as perfect and it is very obvious that this is a very well cared for example. ST emblems to the seats, steering wheel and sill scuff plates emphasise the performance credentials and the plaque on the dashboard proudly declares this as 1/500 ST500 cars. All functions and controls are totally factory standard including the Sony model 6006 stereo radio/CD. Tailored Ford Fiesta floor mats have preserved the pristine carpet. An unmolested hot hatch Ford interior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the Ford 2.0 litre Duratec engine, the power output is quoted as 147bhp at 6000rpm and 190Nm torque at 4500rpm. The maximum speed is 129mph while 0-60 is dispatched in just 7.9 seconds. The engine bay is spotless and displays factory stickers, panels stamps and clear chassis number stamping as well as the often-perished parts component labels. The standard Durashift 5-speed manual transmission is wonderfully tight and precise, perfect for quick and enthusiastic changes!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique Gloss Black ST design 17” alloy wheels are immaculate thanks to a light refurbishment with no curb damage and all matching Ford badged centre caps are as new. Matching premium brand Pirelli PZero Nero of size 205/40 ZR17 are fitted to all four corners. The original space saver spare wheel still wears the unused factory Pirelli rubber, housed in the pristine boot floor which has factory stickers and PDI markings still visible. The factory jack and wheel brace are present. Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with discs to all four wheels offer rapid stopping power for this performance hot hatch while bright red callipers, a standard feature of the ST500 help separate this car from the mainstream ST variant.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 1st September 2008 by Main Dealers, Brooklyn Ford of Kidderminster, this prime ST500 has covered a low and verified 27,424 miles from new. The first keeper owned the car for 11 months when it was then sold as an Approved Used Ford by Main Dealer, Dees Wimbledon, to a lady who part exchanged her Fiesta Zetec S. Ownership has since passed to her husband and then in 2016 to the previous owner who is a family friend. He bought the car having known it since it was 11 months old and safe in the knowledge of how well it had been cared for and that it had never been driven hard, the fate of many ST Fiesta’s! A desire to create a car worthy of concours competitions whilst retaining originality led to countless weekends lost to painstaking detailing as well as refurbishment and replacement of small underside components. A huge catalogued file of parts receipts evidences the extensive sourcing of genuine Ford parts and alludes to the no expense spared and no compromise mentality directed at the project. All fluids and servicing were undertaken at the time. The result is simply astonishing, a car that drives as good as it looks.

The Ford zip up document wallet houses the original handbook and service book. Further invoices and MOT certificates date back to the first in 2011 are kept along with two Ford keys and an original Fiesta Range brochure. Representing the next generation of collectable fast Fords, it is virtually impossible to fault this car.

All the trim is perfect, window rubbers are black and all decals are correct and present. Ford logos can be seen on the genuine Carello halogen headlamps and Altissimo rectangular rear light covers. The underside is very clean and will enable viewers to see the top specification this car enjoys. Minor imperfections to the glass, boot edge and a few stone chips indicate this car likes to be driven and driven hard! Utterly gorgeous and a real show stopper.

The Type-9 five speed gearbox with quick shift has been upgraded to handle the power and enthusiastic use. Incredible!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

HiSpec 4-pot alloy brake callipers grip Grp1 vented 247mm discs with EBC Green Stuff pads. Goodridge braided hoses and bias pedal box with custom reservoir complete with Girling cap shed the speed off quickly and safely.

HISTORY FILE
With only around 2,500 Mk2 Ford Mexico’s made, (source Ford RS Owners Club), this car represents a very rare breed! Positioned awkwardly in price and specification between a 1600 Sport and an RS2000 when new the Mexico had a very short production run and therefore is now a highly sought after model amongst collectors. This car is one of just two known to the RS Owners Club finished in Black. Built in November 1976 and registered February 1977 the car had a genuine Black Ford Mexico Service Shell supplied by the Ford Saarlouis plant in 1979. The original shell finished in Signal Green was damaged. Not recorded but noted by the unique Build Plate, the history and authenticity of this car can be validated by the RS Owners Club. Last sold by KGF Classic Cars in 2017 the previous owner then went to great lengths to track down the original first keeper, Jeremy Rose, and amazingly did so, met up with him and shared fascinating information. There are now photos of the car brand new and a first-hand account of the early history. This fascinating tale is also documented in the February 2020 magazine, Classic & Sports Car. Not only this, but the previous owner also contacted Geoff Fletcher, a talented RS specialist and instrumental in the restoration of the car, to carry out some recent works. An incredible history file neatly and chronologically ordered packed with invoices, photo albums and magazine features will amaze the next custodian. Furthermore, the car has been owned by respected members of the RS community who performed various roles for the RS Owners Club to offer absolute reassurance for the next Ford Blue Oval fan. If you should miss out on this formidable car again, fear not, there is an actual Corgi Vanguards 1:43 die-cast model to buy!

An agreed insurance valuation from 2020 places a value of £20,000 on the car.

Not meeting the usual KGF Classic Cars stock profile in terms of mileage and condition one credentials but not detracting from the cars overall excellent attributes, we are offering this example for sale on a part exchange to clear basis. The car looks superb and performs as such and represents a fantastic useable example at the lower end of the price range. The car is requiring nothing for immediate enjoyment with a full 12 months MOT. There are two sets of keys. Full inspection and test drive is welcome.

The supportive Recaro seats in grey high-grade leather with ‘Strobe’ pattern fabric centre panels, (Code Q5), are spotlessly clean with firm seat structure and are supplied with the Recaro lumber support pads with instruction card laminated. All controls and gauges function including the ESRT 32PS stereo cassette and electric aerial. The rear seats have never been sat in and nothing has been placed in the time warp boot area. Albert removed the rubber strap holding the jack in place when new to avoid stretching and splitting it over time and placed it neatly beside instead! It really does not get better.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Capri 2.8 Injection was the first offering of the new Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) operation that had recently been set up in Dunton, Essex. SVE added a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, an oil/water heat exchanger, viscous coupled fan and an improved radiator making the 158 BHP capable of 130mph and 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds. The fantastic engine bay is fastidiously standard with Motorcraft service items, factory plates and stickers and Ford wing stampings clear to see. Albert attached soft white felt on the bonnet strike points so as not to scratch the paint work!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory 7-spoke alloy wheels are unmarked with correct Ford badged centre caps and factory external weights. A collectable and highly prized full set of five Goodyear Eagle NCT 60 tyres have remained on the car since new with the spare wheel completely virgin with coloured banding to the tyres! Albert elevated the car during storage to avoid flat spots on the tyres. The hydraulic dual-line servo-assisted brakes with ventilated front discs unique on the 2.8 Special are shiny clean with no wear.

HISTORY FILE
Built in June 1986 at the Saarlouis Plant in Germany, and supplied new to Albert William Clarkson by Ford Main Dealer, South Essex Motors, (SEM of Basildon Essex). The new vehicle invoice reveals a price paid of £7,698 and a further £77.92 for all the unused accessories still in original packaging. Albert secured this price through the employee Own-a-Ford purchase scheme thanks to his father working for Ford at the time, a hefty discount on the £11,002 list price! Annoyed with the dealer on collection as the car had covered 68 miles, we know this as he reset the tripmeter at new car handover! His intention was to preserve the car and not drive it, he had a glorious Mk2 Ford Cortina 1600E for the shows and a Ford Escort daily at the time, now a Focus! The dedication to keep the car as new was unrivalled. Perfect temperature and moisture controlled environment, keeping the car elevated to avoid damaging the tyres and even taking the car for the occasional MOT on his trailer!

All purchase literature, handbooks, old MOT certificates and SORN documents have been kept. A full complement of spare keys are included. Albert was even contacted by his insurer Adrian Flux to see if they could run a feature on his miracle Capri that’s never felt the rain. Read all about it HERE. An unrepeatable opportunity.

HISTORY FILE
Built at Fords Advanced Vehicle Operations factory in Aveley in June 1973, this vehicle was first registered on the 9th August 1973 to Ronald Mardle of Bexleyheath. Registered with the AVO Club the vehicle was purchased by the current owner, Brian Jaggs, in October 2001 on early retirement. Mr Jaggs started road rallying in the 1970’s, initially as a Driver but his true passion was as a Co-Driver and this Mexico was purchased as a project being prepared for Concours, unfinished and in the incorrect colour of Diamond White. Work commenced on the rally conversion immediately and it was ready in 2002. Driven hard at a wide variety of events for the next 10 years including historic Road Rallies, National Road Rallies and Targa Rallies it was necessary to embark on extensive works to keep the car competitive and Classic & Retro Automotive Works were commissioned in 2015 to restore the car with substantial input from Mr Jaggs. Witnessing the eye watering invoices, fabulous show condition and effort needed, Mr Jaggs could not bring himself to compete in the car once complete so the difficult decision to sell was made. Representing a fantastic opportunity for a new owner to benefit from a phenomenal build with an iconic and genuine historical Mexico!

HISTORY FILE
A total of just 1,154 RS1600s were made, (Source: Factory-original Sporting Mk1 Escorts by Dan Williamson), with most being extensively raced and rallied and some of those remaining having been re-shelled, this car is an amazing find with provenance and rarely available on the open market. Built at Fords Advanced Vehicle Operations factory in Aveley in February 1972, this AVO Club Registered example has a fully traceable ownership record. With just three former keepers from new, one of which being the AVO RS1600 Registrar himself, William Arnold for 10 years! Mr Arnolds passion, knowledge and whereabouts of each of the 489 Club registered cars is unrivalled and he provides a detailed account of this car in writing dated June 2022 to KGF Classic Cars. He vividly recalls buying the car from the first registered owner, Mr Bartram, who ran a motor repair business in Tamworth and continues to accurately account of everything from a minor incident with a Mini Cooper when the car was just one year old resulting in the OSR quarter panel being replaced to it being displayed unrestored at National Day. Photos of the car exist prior to the restoration kindly provided and included in the history file by Mr Arnold himself and the car was entrusted by industry experts ASM Restorations in 2012. Mr Arnold concludes in his detailed account, ‘the car has full traceable history and retains it’s original chassis plates, engine and in fact virtually all it’s original components and trim. That in itself is quite a rarity these days.’ What better testament exists for one of the rarest most valuable sporting RS Escorts?

HISTORY FILE
Rallye Sport Escorts including the Mexico, RS1600 and RS2000 were built at Fords Advanced Vehicle Operations factory in Aveley, all practically handbuilt. This stunning example was built in May 1974 and is one of just a handful produced in Marine Blue. According to the AVO Club database of 1073 cars, only 4 Marine Blue cars were known to exist, of which two now remain. This particular example was purchased by Derrin James, serial car collector and previous owner of Brian James Trailers, in May 2013. His extensive hunt for a Marine Blue Mk1 sporting Escort was fuelled by a passion to have a car similar to his first ever vehicle, a Marine Blue Mk1 Ford Escort 1300 Sport! He even kept the aftermarket alloys fitted to his Sport to place on this car! Purchased from a dealer in Perth after a vehicle inspection to confirm the credentials, the car was entrusted and extensively restored by CWC Restorations with catalogued documentation throughout. Invoices totalling tens of thousands prove the desire to have a near perfect example where cost was very much a secondary consideration! With little use since the restoration and the realisation that one’s first car is viewed with rose tinted spectacles, the decision to sell was made. Now offered after having performed a running-in check by KGF Classic Cars this example is ready for the Blue Oval enthusiast.
