A new replacement Weber carburettor and manual choke set up has been fitted using a genuine Ford choke lever with working light, fitted seamlessly into the correct dash location. The factory optional automatic oil-cooled transmission is fully serviced and effortless to use. Combined with power steering, this really is the ultimate relaxing retroride!

All road wheels are shod in matching premium Uniroyal Rainsport 3 155/80 R13 tyres the original Michelin XZX items still found on the spare. HISTORY FILE
Supplied by Ford Main Dealers, Billingham’s of Wolverhampton, and registered new on 18th October 1984 to first owner, a Mrs A Frost, this delightful example has covered a remarkably low and fully verified 17,630 miles from new. KGF Classic Cars purchased the car in 2019 from the previous owner’s Nephew, Mr David Howe, after he fell in love with our Yamaha FS1E ‘Fizzy’. KGF Classic Cars sold the car in 2019 to Mr and Mrs Gilbert who have thoroughly enjoyed approximately three years and 6,000 miles of Escort fun! Mr Gilbert, a previous Ford Technician by trade, knows this era of Ford inside out and has carried out several safety improvements such as LED lights and dash cam to make this car ready for every day use should the next owner wish. Absolutely all servicing and consumables such as belts, brakes, exhaust and fluids are totally up to date and no routine maintenance is due.

The Ford wallet houses all the new car sales leaflets, handbooks, service book, driver’s manuals and radio guides. A further large history folder contains service invoices as well as every single MOT certificate from the first in 1988 to 2009 when the car stopped being used and was put into a dry heated garage. Three sets of Ford keys with dealer fob are present. An outstanding example of Fords iconic Escort.
