MODEL HISTORY
Due to the immense popularity of the Sports Pack, an option on 1997-2000 Minis, Rover decided to release a final standalone model with it fitted as standard. The Classic Cooper Sport was born, and became the flagship of the Mini range.  Just 2091 RHD Classic Cooper Sports were made from the last batch of production each with the unique SAXXNP chassis number.  Today these are highly sought after and rare cars with just 587 known to the register

EQUIPMENT
Platinum Silver roof, door mirrors, and bonnet stripes, chrome brightwork, opening rear quarter windows, twin coachlines and decals, Mini winged bonnet and boot badges, derivative and GB boot badges, large body coloured wheelarch extensions, halogen headlamps, front driving and fog lights, heated rear window, cream faced instrument gauges including tachometer, water temperature, oil temperature, battery condition, analogue clock, alloy fascia, alloy gearknob, alloy door furniture, driver’s airbag, side intrusion beams, perimetric anti-theft alarm with passive engine immobiliser and remote activation, internal bonnet release.

EXTERIOR
This historically important Mini was made at the end of the line and is finished in British Racing Green, (Code WNS) with a contrasting Platinum Silver roof, (Code MNX).  The paintwork boasts a beautiful glossy shine with a silky smooth and uniform finish which warrants the low miles covered.  The purposeful Sport Pack, unmarked decals and bright chrome work complement the polished paint to create an outstanding appearance.  The front bumper has a tiny mark along with the bonnet which does not detract from the show winning credentials.  Factory stickers to the front and side glass remain and the correct Quadoptic halogen lights, driving lamps and front fogs are fitted.   At the rear the proud GB, Sport chrome badges and dealer supplied number plate are present.  Stunning.

INTERIOR
Lavishly trimmed, the full leather interior in Black and Nickle Silver, (Code WNP), is in incredible order thanks to the one careful custodian and low miles.  Natural light veins to all seating is unavoidable but no wear to the silver inserts and silver coated steering wheel can be detected. The pristine carpets have been protected by genuine Mini Cooper velour mats and the door cards are perfect.  The cream faced instruments set within the unmarked alloy facia function correctly along with all other controls.  The correct CD player with the Mini logo remains fitted. Devine.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The time proven Rover Group A-Series engine used in this final production car utilises the 1275cc unit mated to Multi-Point fuel Injection to lower emissions and increase performance to a refined yet punchy 62bhp.  The delightful and unobtrusive rasp from the factory standard exhaust is a hoot!  The engine bay is spotless and factory standard to allow exhibiting.  The four speed gearbox is smooth, precise and a pleasure to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Cooper Sport 13in alloy wheels with the correct green Mini centre logo caps remain in fantastic order and are still shod in matching Dunlop SP2000 175/50 R13 tyres.  Although ample tread remains and original fitment is desired by collectors, due to age, a change is recommended.  The servo assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums bring the car to a prompt and assured halt.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 1st September 2000 by Rover Main Dealers, Mann Egerton of Norwich, this Mini Classic Cooper Sport 2000 has been owned from new by Mrs Dunham.   The original new vehicle invoice confirms the model and the optional extras of pearlescent paint and a single CD player.  The service portfolio handbook has the correct vehicle label sticker and 15 stamped entries with accompanying invoices to warrant the 15,953 miles covered.  All handbooks contained within a pristine Mini black leather A5 wallet are present and a spare set of keys and remote remain in a clear bag.  This example represents the pinnacle of the late Rover Mini incarnations, a firm must have for any classic Mini fan and collector.

First registered on the 23rd April 1957 to Mr Francis Ware who sold the vehicle after one year to Kenneth George Roe, custodian for the next 23 years. As a well know figure in MG circles and having previously owned a TA and a TF he just had to have the new aerodynamic MGA and competed in various sprints and hill climbs. Although it was not primarily used as a concours car Mr Roe entered it various events all documented in the history file and noteworthy mentions are a second in class in the BARC Eastbourne Motor Rally Concours in 1959, ’Best Modern MG’ awards at the Brenwood Concours in the 1960’s and a pile of ‘First in Class’ awards at M.G.C.C Silverstone in the late 1960’s. There are a number of photos of the car in the late 50’s and early 60’s, one with the last ever Twin-Cam built and owned by Mike Ellman-Brown, a good friend of Mr Roe at the time. Letters between owners make fascinating reading and the current custodian of 18 years, Mr Parmenter, has chronically and fastidiously noted all works carried out in recognition of the unique provenance this vehicle processes and written helpful notes for the new owner. Also featured in the book by F.Wilson McComb in the History of the MG and Malcolm Green, the well-known MG historian and motoring journalist wrote an article about the car in the December 1999 MG Enthusiast magazine, all included. The car comes with a full set of manuals including the first edition operation manual and original hardback workshop manual in perfect condition. A very rare opportunity and special car.

Porsche 356B/S T6

SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

A genuine UK RHD Porsche 356B/S (T6) with amazing provenance.

MODEL HISTORY
Designed by company employee Erwin Komenda and introduced in 1948 in Austria, the hugely significant Porsche 356 Series is regarded as the first ‘production’ Porsche with steel bodies built by The Reutter Company who later became the seat manufacturer Recaro. The 356 was built in four distinct series, the ‘pre A’ followed by the 356A, B and finally C. The ‘pre A’ vehicles are most notably distinguishable by the split and then later centre creased windscreens, whereas from 1955 with the 356A, the windscreens were changed for a curved one piece design. This remarkable 356B/S is the redesigned T6 model introduced in 1962 and is identifiable by the twin engine lid grilles and larger rear window. With the introduction of front disc brakes to the 356B T6 and no other visible alterations, the model was finally badged as the 356C.

EQUIPMENT
Panoramic windshield, windshield washer system, glare proof rear view mirror, large rear window, fuel valve, shift lever lock, reclining front seats, rear buckets seats with folding back rest, variable instrument illumination, accessory plug, speedometer with total and trip mileage, tachometer, oil temperature gauge, electric clock, lockable glove compartment. Dealer accessories; Magnetic ashtray, cigarette lighter, courtesy grip for passenger, clothes hanger, map pockets.

EXTERIOR
A genuine UK supplied RHD vehicle, this hugely desirable 356B/S example is finished in its original colour of Porsche Ruby Red (Code 702). The paintwork boasts a beautiful deep shine and uniform finish to fully accentuate the unmistakable lines of this iconic Coupe. Restored in the early 1990’s and with enthusiast use since, there are only minor signs of wear worthy of mention. The absence of an external fuel filler lid in the front wing is correct for a genuine RHD example. All trim sections, lights and badges are remarkably good and the quality chrome and stainless steel pieces are beautifully preserved. There are some small splits to the rear window rubbers. Absolute Porsche royalty.

INTERIOR
The originality and unmolested appeal of this hand crafted interior will amaze and delight any classic Porsche connoisseur. The factory Grey Leatherette seat coverings are incredibly well preserved with matching door cards fully intact and showing only light fading. The original cushioned topped dashboard houses the beautifully ornate yet fully functional controls, instruments and gauges. The thin three spoke steering wheel with inner ring and Porsche Crest is a styling marvel in itself. Features such as the magnetic ashtray, fuel valve and shift lock remain exactly as Porsche intended. The headlining is mildly discoloured. A wonderful interior loyal to its Porsche heritage.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original four cylinder ‘flat four’ engine of 1582cc displacement in this genuine S model produces 75hp at 5000rpm. The factory correct twin Zenith 32 NDIX carburettor set up has been retained along with the automatic choke. The engine bay is beautifully clean with stickers and identification stampings clear to see and affirming the matching number credentials. The four speed synchronised Servomesh gearbox is light and exact.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Authentic Porsche 4.5J x 15 steel disc wheels with deep centre rims and Porsche emblem are shod in quality Michelin 165 HR15 tyres. The rims and caps are generally excellent although slight ageing is evident. 280mm drums all round feel positive and bring the car up safely.

HISTORY FILE
A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms that this matching numbers genuine 356B/S example was manufactured as a RHD vehicle with a production completion date of March 1962. Registered on 29th March 1962 by Porsche Main Agent A.F.N. Furthermore, the colossal history file encompasses a lifetime of cherished ownership from new until present day. There are also many previous MOT certificates dating back as far as 1970.

The beautifully presented and comprehensive history file also includes publications from Porsche Club GB and the Porsche 356 Registry with this car featured as well has handbooks and manuals. The original Havana Chequers seat trim is remarkably wear free with no discolouration or fading and just one miniscule nick to the passenger base. The simplistic dashboard is virtually perfect and houses sparse but fully functional controls, gauges and switchgear, all with the typical 1980’s French plastic feel! A straight and uncut rear parcel shelf is present and rises with the hatch as intended. A Mountney sports steering wheel has been fitted but the original item is retained with the car. The boot area is clean and houses the original wheel brace and jack. A capable modern classic interior with an abundance of character!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the time proven 954cc four cylinder PSA XV engine with a power output of 44bhp, this economical supermini benefits from shared mechanicals with its Peugeot and Citroen siblings to ensure ease of upkeep. A very clean engine bay neatly houses the spare wheel and features factory stickers and plates clear to see. The four speed all synchromesh gearbox is light and slightly vague, exactly as Talbot made them!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Five upgrade Samba S alloys wheels are shod in matching branded 155/70 R13 tyres with excellent tread. The bright white wheels are complimented by Talbot embossed mud flaps to complete the rally theme. Dual circuit brakes with 240mm front discs and 180mm rear drums offer ample stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Peugeot Talbot Main Dealer Triangle of Hull , this example was registered new on 25th May 1983 and has covered a mere 37,278 miles from new. A new vehicle sales invoice made out to first owner Mr C E Shirbon Esq illustrates a purchase price of £3,695 less a part exchange allowance of £350 for a Simca GLS saloon! The fantastic history file features the original factory build cards and Carte Identification along with the Talbot CertiCarte card. The vehicle book packs and guides are all present along with the service record containing a number of supplying dealer stamps and another recent entry dated June 2015 with only 30 miles covered since. A collection of MOT certificates and an original spare set of keys complete the history file.

Fun, frugal and exuding personality, dare to be different with this cheeky little Samba!
