The vehicle handover documentation and letters are addressed to the only owner and the V5 registration document lists zero former keepers. A letter from the family of the owner states that all servicing was carried out annually by him as he was fastidious about maintaining the car and wished to do it himself being a retired engineer. A major service has just been carried out by KGF Classic Cars in November 2021 using genuine Ford parts, fluids and filters. The front suspension arms have also just been replaced, again using brand new genuine Ford components. The Ford zip up document wallet houses the handbook and full book pack as well as the service book and two sets of Ford remote keys. A folder containing recent servicing invoices and an original Ford Sportka sales brochure complete the history file. Representing the next generation of collectable fast Fords, it is very difficult to fault this car amongst a rapidly depleting pool to choose from.

The stunning Ford ‘New Edge’ lines of the Puma seem to defy their age and the factory original paintwork boasts a stunning bright polished shine and uniform finish with a condition commensurate with the exceptionally low 7,799 miles. The often-troublesome rear arches and sills are as new and the underside is very clean and still displays factory labels and PDI dabs, long lost on most examples. A miniscule scratch to the nearside door mirror and one to the bumper are virtually indetectable and the only noteworthy imperfections. The original supplying dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder remain fitted. All trim sections and badges are excellent and the styled lighting units are crystal clear. Virtually impossible to find in such an incredible preserved condition.

INTERIOR
The sporty feel of the Ford Puma certainly continues once inside the snug cockpit which somehow manages to offer space and comfort for front seat occupants whilst not losing the sports car sensation. The original Chrome/Twill trim, (Code OC), is perfect in every respect with the seats having no markings or signs of wear. The super-low mileage credentials are clear to see in the preserved carpets protected from new with tailored Puma carpet mats and the steering wheel leather is as new. The controls and switchgear are factory fresh and all functions operate perfectly, including the optional air conditioning and Ford 6006E RDS stereo system with 6CD changer. The immaculate luggage area displays factory marker scribes to the boot floor and both the parcel shelf and carpet are spotless. An interior condition commensurate with a 2002 showroom car complete with the new Ford smell!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Co-developed with Yamaha, the Puma’s 1.7-litre engine was the first Ford to use variable camshaft timing, (VCT). The power delivery is incredibly flexible and energetic with 85 per cent of peak torque being available at just 1500rpm. The air induction system is tuned for a raspier sound and combined with a free revving engine this power plant is immensely rewarding. Exceptionally well maintained from new despite the low mileage covered, this engine is eager to please, and housed in a pristine engine compartment displaying factory plates, stickers, original panel stampings and PDI markings. The standard IB5 close-ratio sports gearbox is precise, short and impeccably weighted working in perfect harmony with the engine. A true driver’s car.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted and unrestored nine-spoke alloy wheels are in perfect condition and display the correct factory finish as opposed to the vast majority of refurbished items. All four tyres are premium brand Pirelli 195/50 R15 with masses of tread. Servo assisted anti-lock brakes with vented front discs and Electronic Brake Force Distribution provide safe stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied by Ford Main Dealers, Bristol Street of Newcastle Under Lyme, on the 31st June 2002, this incredible example has covered just 7,799 miles from new and remains totally factory original. The final Puma’s were produced in July 2002 making this a very late example. First owner, Mrs Hill, owned the car for 17 years and since then the car has formed part of two exclusive collections of modern classic cars. A common trend with super-low mileage cars is for servicing to fall behind, however this example being an exception has a comprehensive service history including the original service booklet with 13 stamped entries. The mileage is fully verified and a cambelt and water pump change was carried out at 7,022 miles. The blue Ford document wallet inside the Bristol Street Ford folder contains the owner’s manual, radio guides, security codes and point of sale literature. There are two original Ford keys with dealer fob. Completing the history file is a folder containing invoices and every single annual tax disc from the very first to the very last issued in 2014 when they were discontinued!

Upon launch in 1997, the Puma boldly hit the market with huge fanfare and instantly won Top Gear Car of the Year 1997 and advertising industry awards for the Steve McQueen television adverts. To drive this low mileage and well-maintained example, it is clear to see why the Puma was an instant hit from Ford and has now become highly collectable.

A member of the AVO Owners Club, it is featured in Market Watch within a copy of HAVOC, the AVO Owners Club quarterly magazine for members. Unperturbed by being dry stored for 18 years the car was complete but in need of restoration. The desire of building his ultimate Mk1 Mexico with Bubble Arches began in earnest commissioning renown experts Canada Garage Motorsport. What evolved is a familiar tale and reality check that works required were far in excess of initial thoughts, but determined to see the project through, Mr Mileham agreed to all works at significant cost. All invoices lay testament to this fact along with hundreds of photos highlighting the process. A collection of historic invoices, MOT certificates and general paperwork along with more recent expenditure are included. Ready for a new custodian wishing to avoid the trials and tribulations of a car requiring restoration, this example is sure to draw crowds on every outing!

HISTORY FILE
Coveted by collectors the limited-edition Capri 280 is the most difficult ‘car you promised yourself’ as only 1038 were produced to celebrate the last of a famous line. GG11211 is build number 353 and has covered just 50,332 documented miles from new. Registered on the 31st March 1987 the car was supplied by Ford Main Dealer, John Grose of Ipswich. The original tax disc holder is still in the document wallet along with the original service book, operating guides and manuals. A large history file is neatly organised chronologically and begins with a letter dated May 1987 from John Grose Ford to the first owner, Mrs Betty Tax, apologising for incorrectly registering the car in a Mr Brown’s name! Including the incorrectly registered first keeper, this example has only has five former keepers from new. The file of invoices and service checklists date back to the very first interim service and MOT certificates date back to the first in 1990! The previous owner, Mr Mead, purchased the car in 2006 and in 2010 he commissioned respected professionals, Restore-A-Ford to undertake a full restoration at significant expense, the invoices for which are also in the history file. Photos to prove how sound and original the car was prior to any work exist and the owners quest for perfection created a double edged sword, a visually stunning car that he was too precious to drive anywhere. The decision to sell after 15 years was a difficult one but now presents a new owner with a fantastic opportunity.

This exceptional Ka has covered just 7,141 miles from new and is finished in factory original Colorado Red, (Code M0). The bodywork and paint finish are simply outstanding with no markings worthy of mention. Cosseted by husband and wife from new, this garaged Ka has none of the common bodywork issues often found and the amazing underside still displays factory labels, long lost on most examples. INTERIOR
The interior of this cossetted example is beautifully clean and free from wear. The original Tic Toc fabric upholstery in Plum colour scheme, (Code PT), is spotless with no wear or damage to the fabric whatsoever. The carpets are pristine having been protected from new by Ford floor mats and the headlining is perfect. The steering wheel and gear knob display a total lack of wear due to the ultra-low mileage and ownership. The engine is quiet and performs faultlessly and all fluids are clean. The pristine engine bay features all factory stickers, plates, PDI markings and even fragile paper labels fully intact. The five-speed gearbox is light, precise and effortless to use with a perfectly comfortable motorway cruising manner.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 31st July 2006 by Main Dealer, Evans Halshaw Ford of Bedford, the car was purchased by Mr Dobinson who used the vehicle sparingly in retirement and kept the car garaged at all times when not in use. In 2015 following his passing, ownership transferred to Mr Dobinson’s wife with whom the car has remained with since. Having now covered just 7,141 miles from new, the condition of this time warp Ka is a credit to them both. The original Ford zip wallet contains the handbooks, guides and radio booklet as well as the service booklet containing 12 stamped entries, 11 of which are from the supplying Ford main dealer, Evans Halshaw. Every year without fail from new to 2017 the car was taken to Ford for servicing and a further independent service was carried out at 7,022 miles with corresponding stamped entry and invoice. A history folder contains service and maintenance invoices from Evans Halshaw as well as MOT history records to fully verify the ultra-low mileage. Completing the history file is an original Ka sales brochure along with two original Ford keys with Evans Halshaw fobs.

Debate over the pronunciation of the name Ka has continued since launch and whether it is to be said with a long or short “a”, or with the letters pronounced separately. Even Ford’s confused press office has used all three but the official Ford stance is with a short “a”! Whichever way you may wish to say it, the first examples are now 25 years old and the humble Ford Ka represents a superb value entry into classic car ownership, even more so with this incredible preserved example with just 7,141 miles from new! Be quick before too many people catch on!

HISTORY FILE
Factory build records confirm build number 3083 rolled of the production line on the 19th October 2003 ready to be dispatched to the supplying Ford Main Dealer, Polar Ford in Cheshire. Date of first registration was the 14th November 2003. First owner, Mr Bullimore, finally manged to acquire this example having been on the waiting list and having first written to the Ford Motoring Company Limited as early as 2002 requesting launch information on the forthcoming Ford Focus RS. Such was the demand, eager customers were prepared to pay well over odds to acquire one of these limited production cars, however Ford dealers were forbidden to sell over list price. As was the case with this example, some Ford dealers registered cars to employees and were then able to sell to a retail customer at their own discretionary price as a used car. Mr Bullimore finally acquired the car shortly after first registration and the original order form and sales invoice records a purchase price of £21,995 (£2,000 more than list price) and delivery miles on the odometer. The comprehensive history file contains letter from Ford to Mr Bullimore in reply to his request for pre-launch information as well as all purchase documentation and welcome letters. Having finally acquired his dream Ford, Mr Bullimore managed to complete the dream by sourcing an original and super rare press release tin still in bubble wrap and containing the CD, information booklet and four press release slides. All original handbooks, guides and special RS supplement are contained within the Ford leather RS wallet along with the service book containing four Ford main dealer stamped entries. At 4,444 miles in July 2021, a documented major service including brake fluid change was carried out as well as a cambelt, water pump, idler and pulleys at Ford main dealer TC Harrison in Peterborough with supporting invoice for £1,564. All supporting Ford main dealer services invoices, previous MOT certificates and maintenance receipts have been kept. Two keys are present with Polar Ford keyrings and both RS alarm fobs with fully intact rubber fob loops, virtually unheard of as most have split by now! Completing the superb history file is all the Focus RS launch brochures and sales literature packs, highly coveted items in themselves!
