Body coloured bumpers with green insert, bonnet louvres, long range driving lights, front fog lights, front air dam, front arch liners, rear spoiler, sunroof, aircraft-style pockets, floor mounted stowage box, micro-switches, anti-burst locks, central door locking, remote tailgate release, remote control door mirrors, tinted glass, tailgate wash/wipe, digital clock, electric windows, Ford Keycode Model 2005 radio cassette, courtesy light, load compartment light.

Finished in lustrous Ford Radiant Red, (Code P1), this incredible example has an amazing deep gloss shine created from years of enthusiast ownership and careful storage. All the trim and rubbers are as new and reflect the uber low mileage. All Ford glass is chassis etched and the lights are correct fitment. The factory decals and vibrant green insert remain in pristine condition and supplying Ford main dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain fitted. A set of Fiesta RS Turbo show plates are also included. The purposeful body shape and sports styling is a delight and those enjoying the show circuit will appreciate the amazingly clean underside and wheel arch apertures. Suitable for the most discerning and fastidious collector seeking a totally unmolested and very rare Fiesta RS Turbo.

The Recaro front seats are supportive, comfortable and stylish and are unworn and correctly shaped thanks to the incredibly low mileage covered. Finished in Ascot fabric, (Code LA), the material to all areas is pristine, even the lumber support pads in their packets as supplied when new are included! The colour-keyed non-woven velour carpet has been protected by luxury carpet mats with stitching displaying the supplying dealer name and the leather covered sports steering wheel and gear lever are among the more visible expressions of the performance related ambience all in immaculate factory fresh condition. The black instrument binnacle has no distortion and all instruments, micro-switches and driver controls function correctly, as does the Ford Keycode radio cassette. The boot area remains unused and even the fragile soft-feel side wall and wheel arch trims are unmarked. Very very special to all Ford RS perfectionists.

The 1.6 OHC fuel injected engine with Garrett AiResearch T2 turbo charger and intercooler produces 131bhp and 183Nm of torque. Figures quoted at 7.7 seconds to 60mph and a top speed of 127mph make this a true ‘hot hatch’. The engine bay is simply incredible with all the Ford labels, stickers and Ford stamps on the hoses. The often misplaced plastic battery cover remains fitted and the blue strut top factory markings are clearly visible. The 5-speed transmission works seamlessly with a progressive clutch action and short shift.

The three-spoke alloy wheels are especially reserved for the Fiesta RS Turbo and remain unmarked shod in Firestone 185/55 R14 tyres with masses of tread. The servo-assisted diagonally split brakes with 241mm ventilated discs up front and 203mm drums at rear bring to car up in a safe and steady manner.

This fantastic example of Ford’s first RS Fiesta was supplied by Ford Main Dealers, Skipper of Burnley on the 1st August 1991 to a Mr John Fle of Oldham. In his care for an incredible 20 years until 2011 the MOT certificates reveal minimal annual use and purely for pleasure weekend fun being his pride and joy. Sold to the only other recorded owner, Mr Fleming, a Ford fanatic who mothballed the car when having covered just over 10,000 miles. The car had an MOT in 2013 at 10,539 miles and in June 2018 with 11,314 miles it was treated to a full service, recommission and cambelt. Supplied with all handbooks, service book and a full complement of keys and even an old ford remote fob. An A4 folder contains old tax discs, MOT certificates and some invoices along with a new car sales brochure and specification rear view mirror hanger. With a short production of just two years from 1990 to 1992, prior to the introduction of the Fiesta RS1800, this represents a truly rare RS Ford with this example undoubtedly being one of the best, unmolested examples in existence.
