EXTERIOR
This delightfully rare UK Yugo 45A has been preserved in astonishing original condition. Finished in factory Cannes Blue, (Code 497), the paintwork boasts a deep polished finish and uniform shine. The bodywork is incredible with no corrosion or unsightly repairs to the underside or factory panels. A few small age-related markings and paintwork imperfections are utterly insignificant and entirely forgiven for this rare survivor showing remarkable originality. There is a tiny ding to the roof and the driver’s door mirror glass is slightly delaminated but without loss of effectiveness. The perfectly square jacking points show the care bestowed upon this cossetted example, and even the supplying dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain fitted. All glass is factory fitment including the windscreen which even still has the driver information and warning stickers intact! Very well-kept for somebody wanting the ultimate, dare to be different classic!
INTERIOR
Truly commensurate with the amazingly low mileage, the interior of this classic Yugo is preserved in fabulous condition. The original grey cloth upholstery is clean and largely free from wear with one miniscule mark to the driver’s seat. The colour scheme grey carpets are fully intact. The synthetic fibre door cards although undamaged do show slight discoloration along with the dash top. The design of the interior certainly follows the theme of grey with the amusingly boxy fascia and chunky switchgear. The optional working Philips AC648 radio cassette remains fitted and a complete tool kit remain exactly as Yugo intended. Humble, functional, delightfully sparse, but very charming.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The four-cylinder 903cc OHC engine with multi-jet Weber style carburettor develops a spritely 45bhp to achieve a ferocious top speed of 85mph with 0-60mph figures not manufacturer quoted! The very clean engine bay further showcases upmost originality with all plates, inner wing VIN stamp and stickers intact including the ‘Made in Yugoslavia’ label. The four-speed manual gearbox operates well albeit slightly vague, just as it was made!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Five 4½j x 13 steel wheels in excellent order wear equally clean and damage free dealer optional full wheel covers. All five wheels including the engine bay mounted spare are shod in brand new Uniroyal 145/80 R13 tyres covering zero miles. The braking system incorporating front discs and rear drums has been fully overhauled in May 2026 to perform perfectly.
