An early Ford Granada 2.0 EFi Ghia with just 32,898 miles and one owner.

EQUIPMENT
Body coloured grille, wide bodyside mouldings with bright inserts, remote control heated door mirrors, halogen headlamps, tinted glass, tilt/slide screened glass sunroof, multi-function quartz digital clock with ambient temperature readout, central locking, electric front and rear windows, tachometer, trip recorder, cigar lighters to front and rear, rear heater control, electronic model ERST-32PS stereo, graphic information module with monitors for door ajar, low air temperature and bulb outage. Factory Options; Metallic paintwork, 4-speed automatic transmission. Dealer Options; Tailored Ford front rubber mats, Ford jump-leads in spare wheel storage case.

EXTERIOR
This exceptional original Ford Granada wears the iconic Ghia badge, Ford’s signature of luxury and comfort. Finished in factory optional Strato Silver Metallic, (Code V6), the car is totally original boasting factory paint credentials rarely seen. The paintwork has a bright uniform finish to all factory panels and the bumpers and trims are near perfect. Close scrutiny reveals only the most minor imperfections and stone chips, utterly insignificant and left untreated in order to uphold rare originality. The original glass is etched with the registration and all lights are clear and fully intact. There is a small chip to the windscreen on the passenger side. Supplying dealer branded number plates remain fitted. A very rare find in such incredible untouched condition.

INTERIOR
The Ghia specification Savoy trim in Alabaster colour scheme, (Code A6), is in outstanding condition throughout. The huge armchair like seats are in pristine condition and all matching door cards, carpets and headlining are clean and fully intact. The original genuine Ford front over mats remain fitted. The fascia is in very good order with only three miniscule cracks and the steering wheel and all touch points show a clear lack of wear, commensurate with the low mileage. All switchgear is functional and the original model ERST-32PS stereo remains fitted and fully operational. The spotless boot area has immaculate carpeting and parcel shelf and even the genuine Ford jump lead storage case. Immensely comfortable and brilliantly preserved.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 2.0 EFi ‘Pinto’ engine develops 113bhp at 5500rpm and 160Nm of torque at 4000rpm, achieving a top speed of 117mph and 0-60mph in 12.7 seconds. Remaining in standard specification, the engine bay is very clean and displays factory plates, stickers and original inner wings with Ford emblem and date stamps clearly visible. The factory optional 4-speed automatic transmission operates perfectly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original 14” X 5.5” steel wheels wear the correct genuine trims in superb condition with no scratches or scuffs. Brand new premium brand Uniroyal 185/70 R14 tyres have just been fitted and the spare wheel has the factory Dunlop tyre still fitted and unused with coloured banding still visible! The standard electronically controlled Anti-Lock Braking system, (a first for a production car at the time), with power assistance brings the car to an assured halt having been fully overhauled.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Ford Main Dealer, Stormont of Woolwich, and registered new on the 6th February 1986. The vehicle was registered new to Mr Trout who is the only owner the car has had! A genuine 32,898 miles has been covered from new and this example displays absolute breathtaking originality throughout, a real credit to the car’s sole owner. A loyal Ford fan and regular customer of Stormont, the Granada was a replacement for the owners 1984 Sierra which itself was a replacement for his 1982 Cortina! Remarkably the ownership trace for these three cars remains in the history file with corresponding order forms, sales invoices and part exchange purchase invoices from Stormont. The car was always garaged and used less with the owners advancing years.

After a period of dry storage, the car has now undergone a full recommission to include a major service, all fluids, oils, cambelt and brand-new premium tyres. A full brake overhaul including discs and pads all round has been carried out too. Two keys are present along with the Ford book pack with service book, file of invoices and an early 1986 Ford range brochure.

HPI Clear.
