EXTERIOR
A true 1980’s icon, this remarkable Suzuki TS250X has covered just 2,928 miles from new and not to be confused with the restored majority, it remains entirely factory original! This bike is finished in the works colour scheme Phlolina Yellow, (Code 163), one of three available colours for the 1987 model year. The preserved yellow plastics with original decals are fully intact and in amazing condition with only a few very faint markings visible only on close inspection. The fuel tank is perfect. The original blue painted frame is fully intact and structurally perfect but in line with the unrestored nature there are small areas throughout the frame where the paint has aged/thinned. The frame stamping to the stock is clearly legible and all factory labels are intact. All mirrors, light clusters, rubbers and other trim is preserved as is the perfect seat and dealer accessory Suzuki bum bag. To complete the total originality, the supplying dealer side stickers, number plate and key ring remain along with the Suzuki toolkit! An unaltered and highly collectible TS250X.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The factory fitted engine is a lightweight, liquid cooled, single cylinder 2 stroke unit. Specification includes a Mikuni VM34SS altitude compensating flat side carburettor, racer-type single box air filter and Suzuki CCI lubrication system. 31bhp power output is good for 87mph and the bike is in prime running order. The engine is clean and complete with factory labels and stamped engine number to the block underside. The 5-speed one down four up gearbox performs perfectly and rider is guaranteed awesome fun!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The large 21in front and 17in rear chrome wheels with stainless steel spokes look superb and are original Takasagi stamped fitment with wheel weights. Some tarnishing to the spokes and light pitting to the chrome is visible. Replacement Continental Twinduro tyres of size 90/90-21 front and 130/80-17 rear are fitted but the factory original Bridgestone Trail-Wing tyres have been kept with the bike, another tick on the originality checklist! The front suspension shocks with factory stickers are very lightly tarnished and there is a small split to one of the rubber dust collars. The front disc and rear internal expanding drum braking system operates perfectly.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 8th June 1987, the bike was procured by UK agent Andy Lee Motorcycles for the supplying Suzuki Main Dealer, D.C. Butler of Stanstead. Not content with being an unrestored example with just 2,928 miles from new, this Suzuki TS250X has gained internet fame after it was purchased by YouTube enthusiast 999lazer who bought the bike in 2021 for his father who had never realised his dream to own one! The story along with the heart-warming moment the bike was gifted as a surprise to the unsuspecting Dad was filmed and presented to the 233k plus followers of 999lazer and can be viewed here. KGF Classic Cars were privileged to be contacted by Mr Hind senior who having finally realised his dream to own the bike decided to sell it to return the favour to his son in order to assist with his first home purchase.

The owner’s manual, service booklet and Suzuki service manual are present along with two original Suzuki keys, one with supplying dealer fob and the spare still with the factory barcode tag. A separate file holds previous MOT certificates and maintenance invoices as well as a 1986 Suzuki motorcycles range brochure. Two rosettes from the 2013/2014 Scottish Motorcycle Show awarded the bike the accolade of ‘Highly Commended’.

A hugely fun, retro and iconic motorbike, perfectly preserved in total originality.
