Full Description

A cosseted Maserati 4200GT Coupe Cambiocorsa with only 9,573 miles.

High torsion chassis, optimised aerodynamics, clear lens covers, driver and passenger airbags, Maserati Stability Program (MSP), Maserati clock, climate control, electric folding mirrors, electric memory seats, info centre, external temperature, oil pressure gauge, coolant temperature gauge, voltmeter, panel dimmer switch, steering wheel adjustment, centre storage compartment, rear armrest, power windows. Factory Options; Spyhook electronic suspension, red brake calipers, xenon lights and washers, heated seats, red interior stitching, leather headliner, GPS radio navigation system.

Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, externally this Maserati Coupe M138 has sleek aerodynamic lines and muscular styling. Finished in stunning Rosso Mondiale, (Code 231.198), the paintwork is virtually unmarked with just a few carefully touched-in stone chips thanks to having covered just 9,573 miles and indoor storage from new. All trim is unmarked including the clear lens front covers housing optional and desirable xenon lights and the beautiful curvaceous tail has crystal clear rear lenses. All glass is factory fitment with the Maserati inscription and the wheel arch apertures are squeaky clean. The underside is amazing and a testament to fair weather use only and pampered storage. One of the best examples remaining.

The Maserati Coupe epitomises luxury and ergonomic efficiency with sumptuous supportive seats and room for four adults. With a combination of Cream/Avario Connolly leather with red stitching and Rosso deep pile carpeting the look is inviting and harmonious complementing the exterior perfectly. Such was the importance of creating the perfect interior this example is even expensively optioned with the leather headliner embellished with a tuck stitching. All controls, gauges and options work perfectly. Door shuts are spotless and all factory stickers are present. The untouched boot area houses the full Maserati tool kit in the foam holder with the blue material cover along with the original tyre inflation kit and packaging. This really is an incredible factory fresh interior commensurate with the very low mileage covered.

The heart of the Maserati Coupe is the 4.2 litre V8 engine developing 390bhp. It is not just the ability to reach 60mph from standstill in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 177mph, but it’s the power delivery and roar of the engine that stir the emotions. The engine bay is extremely clean with a minor stain and slight flake to the inlet manifold. The innovative Cambiocorsa transmission is a clutchless six speed manual gearbox controlled through an interface with the engine control (ECU) and traction control (ASR). For ease of usage it is operated via paddles ergonomically positioned just behind the steering wheel. For peace of mind a replacement clutch was fitted in June 2022 by a Maserati Specialist with an invoice for £4201.80. This example is also fitted with the optional and desirable Spyhook continuous damping electronic suspension. Developed by Mannesmann-Sachs, sensors continually monitor and adapt to road conditions and driver input with two different operating modes, comfort and sport activated by a button on the centre console.

Sculptured 18inch alloy wheels have no damage and are shod in correct Pirelli P Zero 235/40 ZR18 front and 265/35 ZR18 rear tyres fitted new in December 2022. Brembo braking with ventilated and drilled discs front and rear stop the car quickly and safely. The brake calipers are the optional red colour with the Maserati inscription.

This exceptional Maserati 4200GT Coupe Cambiocorsa was supplied new by Maserati main dealers, Graypaul Motors Ltd of Loughborough on the 5th June 2003. Highly specified the price was £69,110 when new with just over £5,000 of optional extras. Such is the care lavished on this example and only having covered a warranted 9,573 miles, it has 12 recorded services, nine of which at the supplying dealer the remainder being Maserati specialist. The last visit was in June 2022 at 9,527 with an invoice totalling £4,201.80 and also included a replacement clutch. The vehicle is supplied with its EEC Certificate of Conformity and both Code Cards housed in the owners manual. Complete with a full complement of handbooks including the original service book, owners manual, accessory manual and racing circuit invitation. The vehicle is also supplied with two sets of keys with supplying dealer leather key fobs and sales brochures. It would be extremely difficult to find a nicer example of the Modena Maserati spa classic.
