EXTERIOR
This deliciously retro riding Nissan Sunny Coupe is finished in striking Bright Red over Gloss Black, (Code 534). The gorgeous paint finish is virtually flawless with a show worthy uniform shine throughout. The body panels are pin straight in incredible preserved condition as is the delightful 1980’s boxy body kit and bumpers. There is a small area to the offside door mirror and nearside front indicator bezel where slight overzealous polishing is evident but hardly noticeable. All glass is etched with the registration and the rubbers and trim sections are in excellent order. The low stance and discreet RZ-1 and Nismo styling accessories complete the Japanese retro ride ethos.

INTERIOR
The top of range ZX interior has been subject to a professional retrim to the seats and door cards in Cream leather at a cost of £3,000 in 2011! The cream leather looks incredible against the exterior Bright Red and the sumptuous hide is spotlessly clean throughout. The rest of the interior is standard and in superb condition with the brilliantly retro dashboard free from cracks or wear. Typical Nissan build quality shines through with all trim fully intact and all equipment operating seamlessly including the original radio cassette. The loop pile carpets have been protected from new by genuine rubber Nissan floor mats and the headlining and parcel shelf are immaculate.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 1598cc DOHC 16v CA16DE engine develops 122bhp at 6600rpm and 138Nm of torque at 5200rpm with a quoted top speed of 125mph and 0-60mph in just 8.5 seconds. The engine bay is super clean and displays factory PDI dabs and bright stickers. The five-speed manual gearbox feels sturdy and precise.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Filling the sporting lowered arches are a set of immaculate Rota GT3 alloys wheel in gleaming gloss black with polished outer rims. Nismo centre caps compliment these stunning wheels that are wrapped in super grippy performance Toyo Proxes 195/45 R16 tyres with masses of tread. The braking system incorporates ventilated front discs to bring the car to a steady and straight halt.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 11th November 1987 by Nissan Main Dealer, Kent Auto Panels Ltd in Ramsgate, the first owner was a Mr Avery who kept the car for almost 20 years until 2006. The large history file confirms just how well cared for this stunning example is, as does the original service book with 34 stamped entries up to 2002 when even space on the back page ran out! The beautifully presented history folder contains service and maintenance invoices dating from 1988 to present including the most recent service in May 2022 at 51,164 miles. The cambelt, tensioner and auxiliary belts were changed in March 2019 at 50,100 miles. All MOT certificates dating from the early 1990’s to present have been kept to warrant the 51,527 miles covered. Further features of the vehicle history are two sets of keys, two original sales brochure and What Car magazines featuring the B12 Sunny. There is even a six-page article featuring this car in Retro Cars magazine issue September 2011 with a shout to the first owner, Mr Avery.

The previous owner, Mr Neville, is a collector of eclectic cars whose stable previously featured a Nissan Cedric so is clearly a Japanese car enthusiast through and through and this stunning Sunny just oozes retro appeal! This well known car on the show circuit is wanting for nothing and ready for Japfest Silverstone!
