Factory Options; Electronic sound system Model 2005 with graphic equaliser. Dealer fit accessories; Immobiliser Compact.

Finished in pristine Radiant Red, (Colour Code P9), this immaculate RS Turbo is incredible while still maintaining Fords production-line finish. The desirable 90 spec enhancements such as the face-lift front bumper and rear spoiler are unmarked. Correct decals, aerodynamic aids and original Carello front lighting and Ford rear lighting remain in perfect condition. Tinted exterior glass is security etched and the car is original panels with date stamps. The underside, wheel arch apertures and every conceivable visible and out of sight part of this car is spotless. It is impossible not to be flabbergasted with the attention to detail or even comprehend the hours invested in cleaning. The term concours is frequently used but in this case, justified and proven.

This fabulous Escort RS Turbo has a perfect and stylish interior which remains exactly how the manufacturer intended. The fully adjustable supportive Recaro seats show absolutely no wear to the ‘ Zolda’ fabric and are protected by seat covers. The cut-pile colour keyed carpets are protected by over-mats, again revealing the care lavished on this example. All switches, knobs and dials function correctly and the 90 spec optional Ford stereo radio/cassette model 2005 with graphic equaliser remains fitted with even the instruction card still attached! The texture and grain of all the plastics are defined and in remarkable condition. The boot area continues the concours standard with factory stickers still on the boot floor and the conscientious owner even putting tape on strike areas to protect the paint and a paper sheet to keep the underside of the boot carpet clean! Truly magnificent and one of the best.

The 1.6 OHC (CVH) fuel injected engine with a Garrett AiResearch T3 turbo charger and intercooler is completely factory standard and simply new in appearance. Raising the bonnet will draw crowds, all of which will undoubtedly be amazed and professionals or novices alike will appreciate the countless hours of cleaning to reach this top tier level. Quoted figures of 132bhp give this vehicle a 0-60 dash of 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 128mph. The 5-speed manual Ford BC box with standard 220mm clutch is light and precise.

Two sets of unmarked correct light alloy 6X15 RS wheels are offered, a show set with factory Uniroyal Rallye 195/50 R15 tyres and a driving set with Yokohama tyres of the same dimension. The ABS braking system designed in conjunction with Lucus Girling works perfectly and all lines, calipers discs and drums are spotlessly clean.

Very rarely does such an opportunity become available to the most exacting, meticulous and perfection seeking collector and this proven concours winning example will satisfy the most demanding. Supplied by Ford Rallye Sport dealer, R.T Rate Ltd in Essex and registered to first owner Mr A Jones on the 29th November 1990 this perfect example has only had a further three owners. The second owner, Mr Colley, purchased the car in February 1993 from Ford main dealers, Jewell Ltd in Watford and cherished the car until 2004 whereby ownership transferred to Anthony Francis. Mr Francis is well known in the Ford RS community and was indeed the RS Owners Club Ford Escort S2 RS Turbo Registrar for a number of years. This was his personal show car from 2004 until 2016 where a continual programme of improvement combined with in-depth knowledge of the marque created a concours winning example. A few results include National Day first place in the Expert Standard Class at Stanford Hall and first place in the Expert Standard Class at Castle Combe. The car was well known on the show circuit and used to wear the registration number LLC4V. The latest RS Owners Club Valuation Certificate No. 00568 and valid until December 2019 informs the car was purchased for £28,250 in 2016 and is now valued at £35,000.

Every MOT certificate from new is present along with all handbooks, service book, spare keys and instruction pamphlets in the original Ford A5 wallet. An A4 folder with neatly presented with invoices and expenditure receipts concludes the fabulous history.
