Full Description

A super rare Suzuki Carry 8-seater Minibus with 35,894 miles and one owner.

Twin-side loading doors, driver’s airbag, front door impact bars, collapsible steering column, front crumple zone, electric power steering, central locking to all doors, tinted glass, locking fuel cap, halogen headlamps, headlamp adjust, high level brake light, heated rear window, rear wash/wipe, mud flaps, glovebox, cab vinyl floor covering, coin case, ticket holder, three forward facings rear seats, three rear facing rear seats, three-point seat belts to all eight seats.

Part of the increasingly popular and highly collectable Japanese micro-van following, this delightful and ultra-rare Suzuki Carry is a genuine factory built eight-seater minibus that seems to defy the laws of space! Finished in Suzuki Superior White, (Code 26U), the paintwork looks fantastic with a bright uniform finish with some cosmetic remedial work undertaken. Light markings are visible but remarkably, the thin factory panels are very straight and damage free, and the common areas with weakness on used and abused examples are entirely solid. All trim sections are excellent and the supplying Suzuki dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain. Furthermore, the door shuts display factory build sticker and service labels. This cheeky yet capable microbus cannot fail to amuse!

The interior of this super example is clean and very well preserved. The eight-seat configuration consists of twin facing rear benches to seat six and two front seats, all with three-point seatbelts factory fitted. The grey cloth trimmed seats, (Code GR), are clean with no wear, damage or sagging. The simplistic yet chirpy cabin space will allow for much comedy with a full load of family or friends who will have little option other than to ‘budge up’ snugly! The fragile interior trim and plastics are immaculate, commensurate with the low mileage, and all controls and function operate perfectly. The original vinyl cab floor covering can be lifted easily to inspect the cab floor which is incredibly well preserved, as are the usually rust prone front steps and inner arches. A perfect city people mover!

The simple and robust G13BB four-cylinder 16v 1298cc engine features multi-point EFI fuel injection developing a lively 77bhp and 101Nm or torque, plenty of power in such a lightweight vehicle. The top speed and 0-60mph are entirely passenger dependant, but however long it takes will be guaranteed fun! This wonderful little engine offers simplicity and economy with both front seats easily tilted to allow complete access to the engine compartment with all stickers and plates intact, and the chassis number stamped into the floor. The original jack and wheel brace are correctly stored in the front compartment. The five-speed gearbox has a short throw and is light and precise. A highly amusing driving experience!

The standard 13in steel wheels in factory light grey are in very good order and all centre caps are present, unusual as most tended to fly off on the way out of the dealership! The 155/80 R13 tyres have masses of tread remaining and excellent rubber condition. Dual circuit servo assisted brakes feature ventilated front discs and rear drums.

Supplied new by Suzuki Main Dealer Riding & Co of Preston, this example was registered new on 25th June 2002 and has covered just 35,894 miles with one business owner. Registered new to nursery company, Busy Bee Holdings Ltd, the business name and registration changed to Busy Bees in 2013. Used for light duties carrying nursery age children, this versatile vehicle doubles up as a van with the rear seats easily removed and re-fitted with simple bolt fixings.

The original vehicle literature wallet houses the stamped service book and all handbooks, supplements, radio guide and even the business cards of the dealership staff! Completing the history file is an original sales brochure, printed maintenance record and two sets of keys. This clever micro people mover ingeniously accommodates eight people and is guaranteed to attract interest and amazement at shows!
