EQUIPMENT
Coach built motorcaravan with rising roof, standing headroom, solid hinged side and rear upper walls, double skin insulation, side sliding door, tailgate, four captain’s chairs with seatbelts, leisure battery, 240V mains hook up, vented gas cylinder storage in floor, Domestic refrigerator/freezer, removable table, oak-finish built in cabinets, cupboards and lockers, dinette seating with deep foam cushions and backrests, crockery/cutlery holders, cooker (two rings and grill), hot and cold running water, stainless steel sink, chemical WC, wardrobe, fluorescent lights, toning curtains, fully carpeted throughout, cab heater, Ford keycode radio cassette. Accessories; Fiamma F45 telescopic awning.

EXTERIOR
This delightful Autosleeper ‘Frisky’ is based on the short wheelbase Mk3 Transit and uses the ingenious rising roof system which offers the best of both worlds, effortless raising of the roof to achieve full standing headroom and easy storage when down, low enough to fit in most garages. Finished in the original colour of Ford Diamond White, (Code FB), the paintwork looks great having been subject to a full professional repaint whilst preserving the original undamaged decals. All factory panels are totally straight and show no rust, and the underside is excellent with no unsightly repairs visible. All glass is original security etched fitment and the lights/lenses are the original Ford units. The Fiamma F45 telescopic awning is effortless in operation and all bumpers and trim pieces are in excellent order. Remaining exactly as intended, this factory built Autosleeper is the perfect gateway to modern classic Campervan enjoyment!

INTERIOR
A charming Autosleeper interior, packed with every home comfort you would ever need! All interior features, fixtures and fittings remain just as Autosleeper intended. The versatile day and night arrangements are immensely useful and logically designed. The comfortable lounge and dinette area effortlessly convert into twin beds with two further bunks neatly and quickly assembled in the roof. All seating, carpets and curtains remain clean and only slight wear can be seen to the two rears seats. The built in Oak finish cupboards and cabinets are well thought out and in superb order. Built in Domestic refrigerator/freezer, sink and grill/hob provide ample facilities for holiday catering and although functional have not been safety tested. A recent tour of the Scottish Highlands by the long term custodians confirm this and assurance is held safe in the knowledge that this quality, purpose-built camper is a far cry from the many home conversions. Enjoy!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The four-cylinder familiar Pinto 2.0 OHC petrol unit as fitted to many Fords of the era features a variable Venturi carburettor and manual choke conversion. Power output is quoted at 75bhp and this desirable petrol engine is often preferred over the diesel variant due to the effortless and relaxed motorway cruising. The engine bay is very clean and houses the original Ford jack. Factory protective wax is still visible along with original labels and Motorcraft stickers. The sturdy five speed gearbox operates perfectly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The standard steel wheels with original black ford centre caps are in superb order with only tiny markings, and all tyres are matching correct commercial specification of size 185 R14C. Dual circuit servo assisted brakes with front discs provide ample stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 9th March 1988 by official selling agent, North Notts Motor Company of Newark, this exceptional example has covered just 68,124 miles from new with three owners, two from Peterborough, the home city of KGF Classic Cars! It is clear from the condition of the vehicle that it has led a leisurely and cherished life, the second owners, Mr and Mrs Gilbert were the proud keepers for over 15 years having bought it from the first owner Mr David Dance, who lived just a few miles away! Mr and Mrs Gilbert, now retired, decided a larger coach-built motorhome better suits their needs and the difficult decision was made to let their beloved ‘Frisky’ go. Purchased by KGF Classic Cars and sold to a regular customer who has had his fun with it but decided classic cars are more his thing so we are delighted to have this vehicle back again.

The original book pack contains the service book, handbooks and dealership literature and there are three sets of keys. The history file also contains previous MOT certificates and invoices along with useful camping literature such as The Camper Van Bible by Martin Dorey. This delightful retro campervan is wanting for nothing other than for its next owners to enjoy more adventures and family fun!
