SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

An original Born to Be Wild Honda Shadow VT600C with just 2,027 miles.

EQUIPMENT
High tensile double-cradle tubular steel frame, hydraulic telescopic fork front suspension, mono hydraulic shock absorber rear suspension, front disc brake, electric start, engine kill switch, speedometer, odometer and trip counter, neutral indicator, lockable fuel cap, twin chrome mirrors, electric horn, lockable helmet hitch, steering lock. Dealer accessories; Pillion seat back rest.

EXTERIOR
This remarkable Honda Shadow VT600C has covered just 2,027 miles from new and is in factory original condition. The preserved paint finish in super rare Kashmir Beige, (Code YR-169), is in fantastic condition. The fuel tank is pristine and all plastic body panels are in superb order aside from a tiny hairline crack to the under-seat faring. The terracotta Shadow tank and Custom side faring decals are perfect. The bike is unrestored and as such a few very minor chips and markings can be seen to the front mudguard and lower frame which are barely worthy of mention, in fact, it is rare to find one that has escaped the Bobber Chopper conversion! The extensive chrome has a beautiful mirror finish with no pitting and only light scratches to the offside mirror housing. The rider and pillion passenger seats are immaculate in line with the very low mileage and the original supplying dealer number plate is still fitted. Even the original tool pouch is present in the under-seat storage cubby. A beautiful classic cruiser in wonderful preserved condition.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Angled at 52°, the V-twin water cooled 4-stroke engine features a single overhead cam and twin VD type 32mm carburettors. Power output is quoted at 38hp and 48Nm of torque. A matching numbers machine which is totally standard, the beautifully clean engine still displays the engine number and frame stampings clearly visible and all factory labels and stickers are intact. The original exhaust pipes are still fitted and look superb still with the factory part number pressings. The four-speed one down three up transmission with neutral indicator light operates perfectly and the bike runs, rides and handles exactly as it should.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted wire spoke wheels, 19in to front and 15in to rear, are shod in premium brand Bridgestone tyres of correct size 100/90-19 front and 170/80-15 rear. The tyres were replaced in 2018 and are virtually as new having covered less than 30 miles! The chrome rims gleam in excellent order and the wire spokes are fully intact with some age-related tarnishing. The standard 296mm front discs and 160mm rear drum brakes operate perfectly with safe and steady stopping.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new on the 5th August 1992 by Honda Motorcycles Main Dealer, John Pease Motorcycles of Braintree, the first owner is confirmed on the original V5 registration document as a Mr Day. Just two further owners have enjoyed the bike before the previous keeper, Mr Mabbott, purchased it to sit alongside his collection of Rock ‘n’ Roll era classics which include a 1950’s Studebaker pick up truck. The history file contains previous MOT certificates to verify the incredibly low 2,027 miles covered and there are two sets of keys which fit all locks. A 1992 Honda Shadow VT600C sales brochure completes the history file. The perfect blend of classic motorcycle design and Honda innovation and reliability, this preserved example must not be missed.
