MODEL HISTORY
Developed by a small team of Ford Performance engineers in Europe and US, the Focus RS is the third generation of Focus RS cars, following successful models launched in 2002 and 2009. It is 30th car to wear the legendary RS badge, following such iconic cars as the 16-valve 1970 Escort RS1600, the turbocharged Sierra RS Cosworth of 1985 with its radical aerodynamics, and the four-wheel-drive 1992 Escort RS Cosworth. World Rallycross star Ken Block was brought on as a consultant for the Focus RS with the final 50 Deep Orange Heritage Editions bidding goodbye to the model in 2018.

INTERIOR
This Ford Focus RS sets the benchmark for driver exhilaration and the high performance character is reflected throughout the interior. The signature Eton/Race Track RS Recaro seats finished in Charcoal/Salerno leather in Nitrous Blue, (Code AP), are unique to cars finished with the Nitrous Blue body and are immaculate having had seat covers fitted for protection. Extrovert styling such as the flat-bottomed leather steering wheel and brushed aluminium tread plates with RS logo complement this Luxury Pack example. High specification optional features such as the ingenious automatic door edge protectors to the Ford SYNC2 navigation system with 10 premium Sony speakers and subwoofer will benefit the next owner. Standard carpet mats are present and along with all other trim and controls, are in prime condition.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Specially designed for high performance, Ford’s 2.3 litre Ecoboost engine produces 345bhp and torque from 470Nm. A twin-scroll turbocharger with intercooler and high capacity compressor allows for greater airflow and charge density enabling a 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds and a 165mph top speed! The engine bay is spotless and just as it left the factory. With AWD torque vectoring control and a precise 6-speed manual gearbox, this sure-footed RS is a formidable performance machine.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Factory optional Gloss Black forged 19in alloy wheels were a £975 upgrade over the standard rims and remain in excellent condition with one wheel having a tiny touched-in mark. Factory Michelin PilotSuperSport 235/35/ZR19 tyres have ample tread. Huge ventilated front discs are gripped by factory optional painted and branded Brembo callipers, another great performance styling feature but importantly stop the car quickly and safely.
HISTORY FILE
The Mk3 Ford Focus RS was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, and 1,500 UK orders were made within a month with the first cars reaching customers in Spring 2016 and immediately sold for over list price! This pampered Ford Focus RS was registered new on the 30th April 2016 by Stoneacre Ford of York and retained by its first speculative owner for just 7 days before being sold to its long-term Ford RS enthusiast and only other owner, David Lake, on the 7th May 2016. His care for the car is evident throughout with four services being carried out, the last by Ford main dealers TC Harrison in April 2022. The head gasket assembly and Power Control Module recalls have been carried out by Ford to offer complete piece of mind. The vehicle presentation pack incudes the Ford performance document wallet containing all handbooks, the RS Owner’s Manual Supplement and all point-of-sale literature along with maintenance invoices and MOT certificates. Both original remote keys are present. A stunning example for the Blue Oval Fast Ford fan.
