EXTERIOR
Finished in the official launch colour of Silverstone Metallic, (Code NH 630M), this drop dead gorgeous two seat sports car looks beautiful from every angle. The original paintwork gleams with a uniform finish, commensurate with its 8,318 mile and one owner from new credentials. All lightweight panels are beautifully straight and in preserved condition with close scrutiny revealing a few tiny stone chips. The expensive GT specification hard top with stand has been in storage since new and the immaculate black factory fitted hood is quick and effortless in operation. The Perspex rear screen to the folding hood is crystal clear. The HID headlights are clear with no discoloration, as are the original factory fitted rear lenses and correct orange side repeaters. All trim sections and S2000 badges are factory fresh. The underside is remarkable in that the coloured factory PDI dabs and even chalk marks to the rear subframe have not been worn away! This spectacular example represents an original, unmolested and truly cherished car that has firmly cemented Honda’s repute for innovation and precision engineering.

INTERIOR
A perfectly proportioned, functional and exquisitely finished interior is designed solely to optimise driver enjoyment. The pristine high-grade luxury Red leather, (Code Type Z), remain in immaculate condition with the figure-hugging seats firm and all bolsters fully intact and in shape. The matching door cards are perfect and the bright red carpeting is fresh, unfaded and unworn having been protected from new by genuine Honda fitted carpet mats. The dashboard and fascia are as new and the red start button portrays Honda’s racing heritage. The digital head up display with race style tachometer and speedometer operates perfectly with all pixels intact and functional. Originality seekers will be pleased to see factory stickers remaining in the door shuts and the original Honda 2SFO stereo remaining neatly behind the discreet flip up cover. A meticulously designed sports car interior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Underneath the bonnet is a 2.0i VTEC race bred engine. This sophisticated VTEC system changes the timing and lift of the valves to combine good torque characteristics at low revs with high power at high revs. A power output of 240bhp at an almost unheard of 8300rpm and 208Nm of torque at 7500rpm allows a blistering 0-62 time of 6.2 seconds and top speed 150mph. Factory stickers to the bonnet underside and immaculate engine bay as well identification plates, bulkhead chassis stamp and coloured PDI dabs confirm the absolute originality of this amazing example which even still has the bright red cam cover with none of the common flaky paint issues! The short shift 6-speed gearbox is perfectly precise.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Perfect standard 16in sports alloys display the unrestored factory silver matt finish with no scuffs or kerb damage whatsoever and immaculate centre badges. Quality branded Bridgestone S-O2 tyres of size 205/55 R16 and 225/50 R16 front and rear respectively were replaced in 2019 and have covered less than 200 miles. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) features 300mm ventilated front discs and 282mm solid rear discs to offer sharp and assured stopping power to cope with the epic performance.

HISTORY FILE
This UK example was supplied and registered new on the 15th April 2003 by Tachbrook Honda in Solihull. A new vehicle sales invoice is made out to the first and only owner, Mr Williams, who paid £25,445 for this factory GT specification car. All documentation and point of sale literature including the handover checklist are included in the history file. Used only as a dry day weekend car and covering a total of 8,318 miles, the car was still annually serviced at Honda Main Dealers until 2019 upon which time the car was put into dry storage. The original Honda wallet holds the vehicle handbooks and a file of invoices and previous MOT certificates further verify the exceptionally low mileage.

After nearly 19 years of ownership and preservation, Mr Williams contacted KGF Classic Cars and a deal was struck to purchase this car directly from its original owner who has kindly produced a letter confirming his ownership of the car and that the difficult decision to sell is born from ordering a brand-new Ford Mustang MACH 1, to go alongside his existing Mustang! Remaining exactly at Honda intended and preserved with exceptionally low mileage, this example must not be missed.
