A UK RHD Audi 100 LS from the Audi Heritage Collection with only 55,927 miles.

EQUIPMENT
Integral all-steel body, flat underside, recessed cables, linkages and exhaust, electronically designed rigid safety-cell, collapsible front and rear sections, steering damper, rubber guards on bumpers, halogen headlights, parking lights front and rear both sides, sprung exterior mirror, ornamental window frame strips, rain ducts and waistline, chrome wheel arch covers, door sill mouldings, wide flow-through ventilation system. Factory options; Push button radio, rear window heater.

EXTERIOR
This incredibly rare C1 Audi 100 has covered just 55,927 miles from new and has been part of the prestigious Audi Heritage Collection since 2008 where only the rarest and best-preserved examples gain placement. Finished in Audi Delft Blue, (Code L55Z), the paintwork displays a uniform shine with some aging and no structural issues. All panels are straight, shut lines linear and the doors close with the reassuring thud commensurate with Audi of the era. All trim sections, lights, rubbers and badges are incredibly well preserved and the additional ornamental chrome trim fitted as standard to the upmarket LS model looks superb against the deep blue paint. There are a few age-related markings to the original brightwork and some very light pitting to the door handles. Sourced directly from Audi’s own prestigious collection, this rare model is very special.

INTERIOR
The posture-formed PVC upholstery in Smoke Blue has remained in outstanding condition with no rips or tears whatsoever and all seat structure is firm and has retained correct shape. The carpet has been well protected and the perforated headlining is clean and fully intact. The high-quality fascia with immaculate wood trim houses fully functioning controls and equipment including the original working factory optional push-button radio! There is no damage to the dash materials which is rare on the 100 model. Factory stickers remain in the door shuts and even the supplying dealer plaque is still affixed to the dashboard and the original tax disc holder has been kept. A spacious and wonderfully quality interior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This 100 LS model is factory fitted with the more powerful four-cylinder 1760cc engine with 32/35 TDID carburettor and automatic choke. A performance output of 100bhp and 151Nm or torque achieves a top speed of 106mph and 0-60mph in 11.9 seconds. The clean engine bay clearly displays the bulkhead chassis stamp and factory inner wing plate. The four speed all synchromesh gearbox is sturdy and precise.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The standard steel wheels with original Audi stamped embellishers remain in fantastic order with only minor age-related markings. The twin-circuit hydraulic braking system incorporates servo-assistance, discs to the front and rear drums for excellent stopping power from this safety conscious manufacturer.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Audi Main Dealers, Esplanade on the Isle of Wight, on the 13th October 1976, this UK RHD example has had just one private owner who owned the car until 2008 upon which is was gifted to the Volkswagen Group to become part of the Audi Heritage Collection and where it has remained ever since. Audi Heritage embarked on a full restoration knowing how correct and unmolested the car was with its one owner credentials and once completed, it has been transported to events and displayed as part of the collection. This includes other unique Audi cars including an Audi A8 owned by Madonna!

Despite minimal useage, regular annual servicing is evidenced in the history file. The most recent service was carried out in December 2020 at 55,863 miles and the car has been converted with the use of Evans Waterless Coolant. In addition to service documentation and previous MOT certificates, the history file holds original sales brochures and a workshop manual. A very rare model with fantastic ownership credentials, equally suited to classic car enjoyment or a superb addition to any collection.
