SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

A fully restored racy eighty UK Kawasaki AR80-A1 in amazing condition.

EQUIPMENT
Quarter faring, Uni-Trak rear suspension, speedometer, tachometer, ignition switch incorporating park light, turn signal switch, headlight switch, dimmer switch, neutral indicator, two-stroke oil light, horn, rear footrests, fuel valve, steering lock, helmet holder.

EXTERIOR
Finished in Firecracker Red the appearance of this successful and iconic motorcycle can only be described as stunning.  Identical to AR50-A1 variant this AR80 was the envy of many 16 year olds not legally allowed to ride one!  The unique roadrace styling of these early models are distinguished by the different tail and unique decals.  The black full cradle frame and racetrack proven Uni-Trak rear suspension are pristine and fine detail can be found in such items as the chain guard decal and fully working easy-read instrumentation.  Industry leading Kawasaki AR50/80 AE50/80 UK Specialists, Holmetech of Chorley, restored this original green example to exact customer specification to emulate what he had in 1981.  Fabulous.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The robust air-cooled 2-stroke engine has a 78cc displacement with an automatic superlube oil injection to help ensure maximum convenience and reliability.  Proven reed-valve induction combined with electronic CD Ignition (CDI) delivers the kind of power that has enthralled a generation of first time young riders.  A standard UK bike with the correct factory AR80 exhaust, the maximum horsepower is 10hp at 8,000 rpm and maximum torque is 8.3 Nm at 4,000 rpm.  This is a matching numbers example.  The 6-speed close-ratio gearbox operates correctly with smooth gear changes.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This AR80 is fitted with stylish and distinctive bicolour cast-alloy gold wheels with the correct chrome polished edge, both in fabulous condition.  Branded 2.75-18 rear and 2.50-18 front tyres are fitted.   Hydraulic stainless disc front brake and dustproof/waterproof rear drum brake combine to provide confident, controlled braking in all weather conditions.

HISTORY FILE
An early AR80-A1 model registered in the UK on the 24th June 1981 with a frame number of 002272 this variant is highly collectable.  In the hands of just four former keepers and restored by Phil Holme, owner of Holmetech Motorcycle Sales & Restorations.   Fully worked on by him to represent one of the best currently available and for a discerning collector frustrated with viewing numerous examples prior to this build.  An unmissable opportunity and rarely offered.
