Inspired by the now Late Colin McRae’s victorious Ford Focus RS World Rally Car, the Ford Focus RS was created as a no frills, no compromise road going rally car, a car true to its motorsport roots. Designed in conjunction with Ford Racing Engineers and M-Sport in Cumbria, the RS badge synonymous with the most desirable, high performance Ford vehicles was first introduced to the already accomplished Focus. Only 4,501 examples were built with only 2,147 sold to the UK market.
Here we present build number 2307 finished in Imperial Blue Metallic (code Q2), the only available colour. The electrifying deep blue finish is simply outstanding and despite the soft paint finish associated with this model very few imperfections will be found. All the glass, plastics and lens covers are factory fresh and because genuine Ford front mud flaps have been fitted from new, the side sills are free from gravel rash. All door shuts, hinges and rubbers are spotlessly clean but the underside has never been detailed and shows usage. Factory blue PDI markings are still clearly visible thanks to the low mileage covered. A show winning top example enjoyed by very few.
Inside this white hot Ford are a pair of body-hugging Sparco road-race seats swathed in luxurious Racing Black and Blue Leather and Black Alcantara (code AR). The RS and Sparco logos are embossed and stitched into the upholstery, and this coupled with the aluminium fittings, push button start and numbered plaque, leave you with little doubt this is no ordinary Focus! As you would expect from a car having covered just 12,592 miles, the interior condition is virtually flawless and undeniably showroom fresh. The seats have been covered by Ford seat covers. The vital RS carpet mats are supplemented by a set of genuine rubber floor mats for added protection. A period Nokia Bluetooth kit has been dealer fitted. Ford built this car to truly delight its motorsport loving RS devoted fan base, and they hit it just right!

The maximum speed is 144mph while 0-60 is dispatched in just 6.4 seconds! The engine bay is suitable for bonnet up exhibiting with only one headlamp sticker missing. The Ford MTX-75 gearbox with a heavy duty AP Racing clutch offers the ultimate rally road car experience.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unique 8 x 18in Oz Racing rims show tiny markings to the face but no curb damage. Incredibly they are shod in the factory supplied and highly sought-after Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40 ZR18 tyres which due to age will need to be changed and stored if the car is to be put into regular use. Peer through the large openings between the spokes and very clean Brembo 4-pot calipers and 324mm ventilated discs will be seen, which of course are capable of providing immense stopping power.
Registered new on the 31st October 2003 by Ford Main Dealers, Peoples Ecosse Limited, this prime example has had just two owners from new. Ford reputedly made a loss of around £4,000 on each car sold, but such was demand when the cars were new that used examples were sold for more than list price! The first owner was a Ford Master Technician at the supplying Dealer and kept the vehicle for six years maintaining it to exacting standards. Subsequently sold to a brand loyal Ford custodian who, along with the first owner, used the vehicle sparingly. Despite the low mileage the vehicle has had seven return visits to the supplying Dealer for service work and all MOT history is again from the supplying Dealer. As piece of mind KGF Classic Cars have instructed performance Ford Specialists, Harvey Gibbs, to carry out a cam-belt and oil and filter change.
All original handbooks, service books and special RS supplement are contained within the Ford leather RS wallet. Two keys with RS fobs are present. This is the ultimate Focus RS in every respect.
