Factory options; Hard-top, wind deflector, electric folding mirrors, Professional Navigation, TV function, Bluetooth, armrest, Harman Kardon Hi-Fi, CD Changer. Dealer Accessories; BMW carpet mats, Pureguard paint protection, indoor car cover.

Finished in Silver Grey Metallic, (Code A08), the paintwork is truly astonishing with a deep gloss shine and has remained garaged from new, absolutely preserving the pampered appearance. All trim sections are immaculate and the badges are bright. There is a hairline crack in the plastic boot plinth handle, barely visible and some light chips to the original front screen. The optional hardtop is immaculate along with the fully electric black fabric roof. Being the desirable facelift model it benefits from the rear LED lights and convenience opening on the hood. All wheel arch apertures are very clean with coloured dabs still visible on the springs such was the thorough cleaning ritual of the fastidious previous keeper. Remarkable in every way.

Exclusive materials, attention to detail and exacting build quality all in pristine condition make the interior of this example very special. Finished in Imola Red Nappa Leather, (Code N51M), the M Series sports seats are anatomically contoured and electrically adjustable to ensure the optimum driving position. Some minor imperfections to the seats will not deter those seeking the best. Genuine BMW velour mats have protected carpets from new and all instrumentation, gauges and controls function correctly except the optional analogue TV now obsolete. This is a highly specified example with an impressive list of factory options including the period Sony Ericsson phone still fitted! Stunning.

The heart of this BMW is the naturally aspirated 6-cylinder in-line S54 engine. This high-revving power unit combines supreme output and spontaneous power from low engine speeds and produces 343bhp enabling the car to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.5 secs and on to a electronically limited 155mph. Under the bonnet is spotlessly clean, exactly as it left the production line and full BMW service history will reassure all precision engineered components are in full working order. The gearbox and engine work in perfect unison thanks to the SMG Drivelogic transmission that allows the driver to shift gear using wheel-mounted paddles – these shifts are executed in just 80 milliseconds! With six individual manual programmes, shiftlights in the cockpit and even a full automated mode this really is shifting gear Formula 1 style!

Immaculate optional 19-inch 67 double-spoke styling M light-alloy wheels have the correct factory diamond cut finish. All four tyres are recent Michelin Pilot Super Sport with ample even tread. The high performance braking system featuring compound discs controls the staggering power and is everything you would expect of this ultimate driving machine.

Built in June 2004 and supplied new by Main Dealer, Victoria BMW of Milton Keynes, on the 2nd September 2004. Costing a whopping £53,345 the first two owners being husband and wife, Mr and Mrs Ginns who cherished the car until November 2011 when the only other owner, Mr Read took ownership. Maintained exclusively by BMW from new with a total of eight stamped entries in the service book including the vital running-in check at 1,049 miles. The last entry was at Sycamore BMW in October 2021 with 34,617 miles where an Inspection 2 service was carried out to include micro-filter and brake fluid change. The service cost amounted to £1769.72 with an accompanying invoice and full Health Check with green passes. Also at this time a specific request was made for the BMW dealer to check the rear subframe for cracking and full clearance in writing has been given to confirm all is well, a common issue with the E46 M3. Lots of historic invoices are present, previous MOT certificates and a full complement of handbooks within the BMW leather folder. Two sets of keys are included along with a sales brochure. This car is for the discerning BMW collector wanting one of the finest examples.
