Sourced from a BMW collection, this fanatic owned example is finished in factory optional BMW Titan Silver Metallic, (Code 354). The beautifully detailed paintwork is virtually flawless with a stunning bright polished shine and pleasing uniform finish. All trim sections and badges are in excellent order and the electric soft top hood, effortless in operation, is in beautiful condition with the rear screen displaying only light scratches and some discolouration. The underside and wheel apertures are exceptionally clean and clearly representative of a dry use, garaged and meticulous enthusiast ownership. Subtle Chrome-line exterior finishing’s are as new and include the front wing grilles, half door handles and high-level brake light cover. The iconic kidney grille displays the chrome inner slats, correct for the 3.0 model. This low mileage example boasts its cherished existence without question and now represents a highly desirable modern classic.

INTERIOR
A vibrant and brilliantly contrasting interior as factory specified in original Chameloen/Dream Red Oregon Leather is superb in condition and virtually wear free. The leather trimmed M steering wheel is in excellent order as is the interior trim and chrome-line package. Carpets have been protected from new by genuine BMW velour over mats and the dashboard houses fully functioning equipment including the ice-cold air conditioning. A modern stereo unit has been professionally fitted but the original BMW Business CD stereo has been retained. The immaculate boot area neatly stores the rear tonneau cover when not in use and the original full toolkit, jack, warning triangle and unused spare wheel are all present. A genuine BMW battery is a replacement item at considerable cost to the previous owner who would not compromise on parts fitted to the car, opting for genuine BMW items. This is the perfect Roadster interior, comfortable, functional and exciting!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The immaculately clean engine bay complete with factory stickers and labels is fitted with BMW’s proven 3.0-litre (2,979cc) bulletproof six-cylinder M54 engine. The power output of 231bhp achieves 0-62mph in just 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 150mph! The factory optional five-speed Steptronic automatic transmission is a vast improvement over its predecessors four-speed EH box and is fabulously suited to the 3.0i engine. Mick Walker, Z3 guru and author of the book, BMW Z Series The Complete Story, describes the Steptronic transmission with the 3.0i engine as ‘delightful’ and would not buy a 3.0i without it as the 0-62mph dash is only 0.3 seconds behind that of the manual. Advice from Mr Walker is, ‘get yourself a 3-litre Z3 auto as it fully lives up to its ultimate cruiser tag’!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted as a factory upgrade, the 17in Multi-spoke alloy wheels are pristine with no kerb damage whatsoever and immaculate BMW centre caps. Matching premium brand Dunlop Sport Maxx of size 225/45 ZR17 front 245/40 ZR17 rear tyres have masses of tread remaining to install compete road holding ability. Front and rear disc brakes with anti-lock assistance (ABS) offer superb stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new as a UK specification car by BMW Main Dealer, Jacksons CI (Channel Islands) in Jersey, the car was registered new on 18th May 2001. The car led a cosseted life in Jersey until July 2016 when it arrived in the UK mainland and was UK registered. It was at this point the car was purchased by the previous owners, Mr and Mrs Brown, and with whom the car has remained with since. Mr and Mrs Brown would certainly agree with being described as BMW fanatics and indeed are long term and very active members of the BMW Car Club GB. This outstanding Z3 was purchased in order to attend shows as was the culmination of a lengthy search for the right car, Mr Brown stating in his own words that he saw many substandard examples, albeit his standards are very high. The car was comfortably stored alongside their other BMW’s which include a M5, a 2,000-mile 6 Series and two daily 1 Series’. The labour of love bestowed upon this Z3 has seen the car detailed to a very high standard throughout and subtle upgrades include Angel-Eye headlamps and a fully upgraded front suspension set up to sharpen up the handling whilst losing none of the Z3 magic.

There are two BMW keys plus the master blade and a large file contains receipts and maintenance invoices from BMW main dealers and marque specialists who have maintained the car throughout. The service indicator displays a full complement of green lights and this outstanding example requires nothing more than a new owner to enjoy and appreciate!
