EXTERIOR
The eighth generation RR (SC57) was introduced in 2006 and this Repsol Racing livery model, (Code PB-123P), is the most sought-after. Repsol has been closely tied to the Honda racing team and in 2006 a monumental milestone was achieved with Honda becoming the first manufacturer to surpass 200 premier-class wins and well over 600 Grand Prix wins across all classes. This bike helps celebrate that achievement along with Nicky Hayden becoming the 2006 Honda World MotorGP Champion. Clearly cherished with the lightweight gravity die-cast precision moulded frame unmarked and all panels showing virtually no marks. The unique original decals have been preserved and the standard black pillion seat remains in addition to a super rare single seat Honda cowling, both in perfect condition. All controls and displays function and even hidden crevices are clean proving fair weather use only. The bike is 100% standard and really is perfect for those looking for an adrenalin and satisfying ride or an individual wanting to add an iconic bike to a special collection.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Powered by a liquid cooled mass-centralised inline-four 998cc engine with Dual Sequential Fuel Injection, power output is quoted at 170hp. Weighing just 176kg blistering response and performance across the rev range is assured and the factory center-up exhaust with a computer-controlled butterfly valve sounds awesome. Race-inspired cassette-type six-speed gearbox utilises every ounce of power.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Hollow section tripe-spoke cast aluminium wheels are unmarked and finished in factory vibrant orange and shod in Bridgestone Battlax 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/50 ZR17 rear tyres. These were fitted new in July 2020 and have covered less than 100 miles. Front radial-mount 4-piston front brake callipers grip large diameter 320mm floating discs up front and 220mm hydraulic disc to the rear to help set you up for tight corners or bring you to a quick and comfortable stop with ease. The original sintered metal pads were replaced in 2020 due to age only and retained.
