The factory original paint finish is virtually flawless with a deep gloss polished shine and uniform finish. Nothing other than a few miniscule touched in chips to the front are visible only under very close inspection. The beautiful lines and factory panels are perfectly straight with no dings and all trim sections and badges are perfect, as are the crystal-clear light clusters all round. The UV-resistant hood in black is perfect in both operation and condition and the Perspex rear screen is clear. Underside inspection reveals the unspoilt condition and all consumables and the exhaust are in excellent condition due to garage storage and fair weather use. A truly exceptional example in every respect.
INTERIOR
Typical Porsche quality craftsmanship is found in this example, preserved to the highest level having covered such low mileage. The full leather seats in Black, (Code AA), are in superb order with firm and shapely bolsters and the matching doors cards are as new. The driver seat outer bolster shows nothing more than some very light wear lines to the hide. The carpets are spotless having been protected from new by genuine Porsche carpet mats. The fascia and leather covering to the steering wheel is as new and all equipment and functions operate perfectly including the factory fitted Porsche CDR-22 CD radio. Beautifully clean dual cargo areas contain the warning triangle and original unused Porsche tool roll. Originality seekers will note the all-important factory option label attached to the bonnet underside, Mobil 1 sticker to the inner boot lid and factory stickers in the door apertures. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the robust flat six Porsche Boxer Engine, this model develops 220bhp from the 2,687cc unit to allow 0-62mph in just 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 156 mph! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory upgraded 17″ 986.1 Boxster alloy wheels are in superb order with only one wheel having a miniscule scratch to three of the spokes, virtually undetectable. Premium factory correct Pirelli PZero tyres of size 205/50 ZR17 front and 225/40 ZR17 rear display the red PZero branding and retain plenty of tread. The original space saver spare wheel has never seen the road. The ABS assisted braking system incorporates 4-Wheel ventilated discs with 4-piston fixed monobloc callipers. Immaculate Porsche badged callipers are clearly visible through the spokes and hint towards the racing pedigree infused within this car’s genes.
HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 11th March 2002 by main dealer, the Porsche Centre Newcastle, this exceptional Boxster has covered a verified 30,968 miles from new with full service history. The first owner, Professor M Haysom, owned the car until 2016 and there have been just two keepers since. Throughout her ownership, Professor Haysom undertook servicing and maintenance requirements solely at the Porsche Centre Newcastle and there is a printout confirming 23 Porsche Main Dealer visits. There are thirteen stamped entries in the service book, ten of which are the Porsche Centre Newcastle, and the most recent in July 2020 at 30,060 miles was carried out by Porsche specialist RPM Specialist Cars LTD. Careful adherence to the servicing requirements includes required major services and routine maintenance such as renewal of drive belts, fluids, oils and filters. The original leather Porsche document wallet holds absolutely all handbooks, guides and dealership point of sale literature as well as a Porsche Boxster brochure and price list booklet.
