SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

An elegant and classic Jaguar XJS 4.0 Litre Coupe with just 68,306 miles

EQUIPMENT
Front and rear crumple zones, frameless door glass, halogen headlamps, burr walnut veneer fascia, ‘secret till lit’ warning lamps, LCD trip computer, adjustable steering wheel, lockable glovebox with mirror, stainless steel treadplates, electrically adjustable front seats, central door locking, electric windows, heated rear window with timer, courtesy light delay, kerb lamps, heated washer jets, heated door mirrors, air conditioning, boot lamp.  Dealer fitted accessories; XJS 1992 alarm security system.

EXTERIOR
Heralded as ‘the new XJS’ with over twelve hundred new or modified parts this sleek coupe boasts a classic yet stylish appearance especially when finished in Signal Red, (Code CFC).  A beautiful deep rich glossy appearance from the slimline radiator grille to the contoured boot really gives this example a striking timeless presence.  All the chrome enhancements are mirror bright with only a few markings to the front bumper and stone chips to the bonnet and the factory twin coachlines are still attached.  Lifting the forward-hinged bonnet reveals a very clean engine compartment with all warning stickers, identification plates and labels perfectly intact.  An endearing example of British craftsmanship.

INTERIOR
A sumptuous and luxurious interior is simply beautiful trimmed in supple Magnolia leather, (Code AEM) and the sports electric seats are every bit as comfortable and supportive as they look.  Hand-polished hardwood veneers complement the interior and the biscuit coloured
deep-pile carpeting has been protected by Jaguar carpet mats from new.  The headlining is tight and clean and the driver’s seat bolster with double needle stitching shows creasing and slight wear.  The stainless steel treadplates etched with the Jaguar logo have markings and all the controls, switches and gauges function perfectly.  The carpeted boot area shows minimal use with tools present.  Completely satisfying.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

A 4.0 litre engine with twin overhead camshafts and a lightweight alloy cylinder head housing four valves per cylinder offers 233bhp and 377Nm of torque. Power and refinement is guaranteed with 0-60mph despatched in 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 140mph.  The extra cost option four-speed automatic transmission with switchable Normal and Sport modes is seamless.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Forged sports alloy 6.5 x 15in lattice wheels are virtually unmarked and are shod in Pirelli P600 235/60 R15 tyres with ample tread.  The electronically controlled anti-lock braking system with YAW control grips relentlessly to all four discs offering safe, consistent and predictable stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Jaguar Daimler main agents, Paramount on the 5th September 1991 this vehicle has remained in Jaguar main agent servicing up to 65,703 miles.  The vehicle has now covered just 68,306 miles with the last service having been carried out in June this year by an independent.  A full complement of handbooks including the pre-delivery inspection card, extended guarantee letters and a fully stamped service book are contained within the black A5 leather folder.   Two sets of keys and two alarm remotes but only one remote is operational.
