Full Description

A phenomenal BMW E30 325i Sport with an incredible complete history file.

Monocoque construction, torsionally rigid safety cell, front and rear crumple zones, all-round body reinforcement, anti-lock braking system (ABS), M Technic body kit, M Technic sports suspension, limited slip differential, twin halogen circular headlights, integral front air dam, laminated windscreen, heated rear window, green heat insulating glass, central locking with deadlock, BMW sports seats to front, rear centre armrest, anthracite roof lining, M Technic sports steering wheel, toolkit, first aid kit, warning triangle, check control system, electric windows, rear side openers, electrically adjustable door mirrors, rechargeable glove box torch.  Factory options; Electronic Hydraulic (EH) automatic transmission, electric sliding roof.

This outstanding 325i Sport is finished in stunning vibrant Brillantrot (Brilliant Red, Code 308).  The paintwork boasts a spectacular deep gloss shine and high polished finish.  The original panels are beautifully straight and all gaps and shut spaces are uniform.  Structurally perfect and absolutely unmolested from BMW’s original vision, this unspoilt example is truly exceptional.  Only very close scrutiny will reveal a small touch in mark to the offside rear inner bumper section behind the wheel, barely noticeable.  Unique styling features of the M Technic package factory fitted as standard on the 325i Sport remain exactly as BMW intended having escaped the all too common modification trend.  All trim sections are spotless and the factory glass displays a BMW Car Club Great Britain badge.  This enthusiast owned cherish example is simply magnificent and will delight any classic BMW aficionado.

The unmistakable cockpit of the E30 BMW is designed purely with driver experience in mind.  The BMW sports front seats along with the complete interior has undergone a no expense spared re-trim in full BMW silver leather and the results are incredible.  The interior upgrade extends to many period genuine BMW accessories such as rear headrests, central front armrest, M tailored floor mats and door pocket additional bin, all now near impossible to source.  The wrap around dashboard inclined to the driver is simply perfect and retains the factory matt finish as does the leather trimmed M Technic sports steering wheel, all too often lost by years of amateur ‘dressing up’.  All functions and controls are seamless in operation and feel tight and solid to the touch, commensurate with a cared for cherished example.  The complete toolkit, first aid kit and warning triangle are present and even the rechargeable glove box torch works!  Three discreet and fully operational VDO gauges have been carefully placed and consist of oil pressure, voltmeter and quartz clock.  Spotless and truly cossetted, an out and out sports machine.

Displacing 2494cc, the legendary straight six cylinder unit from BMW needs little introduction.  170bhp and 222Nm of torque in a relatively lightweight car raise this car firmly into performance car territory and 0-62 and top speed figures of 9.9 seconds and 132mph respectively are more than respectable.  A spotless engine bay to delight any enthusiast has been further enhanced by a polished inlet manifold.  The unmistakable crisp engine note remains unsullied by the discreet stainless steel exhaust system.  The factory optional Electronic Hydraulic (EH) automatic transmission performs faultlessly and offers positive kick down, exactly as it should.

Five genuine light alloy cross spoke wheels with pristine centre caps are in beautiful condition with no curbing scuffs or scratches whatsoever.  Only microscopic areas of lacquer lift around the tyre valves can be detected.  Quality Michelin Pilot Exalto 205/55 R15 tyres have masses of tread remaining and the spare is shod in the original Pirelli P600 item.  Even the often misplaced plastic centre cap removal tool is in the boot area.  The anti-lock braking system (ABS) incorporating all round discs offers ample stopping power to this performance contender and straight line steady braking is assuring.

A truly incredible history file sets this example apart from the usual offerings and firmly cements the fastidious ownership this car has enjoyed.  Supplied new by BMW main agents Williams Motors in Manchester on 20th October 1989, this example has covered just 90,282 miles with only three former keepers.  A complete BMW Main Dealer and specialist service history provides a fascinating insight to the enthusiast and bordering on obsessive ownership this car has had.  A colossal file is beautifully presented with countless service invoices, receipts and MOT certificates chronologically placed along with two service booklets, the first having run out of space!  The fully stamped history documents no less than five cambelt changes, most recently in November 2013 at 87,519 miles along with a full Inspection 2 service.  The complete original A5 wallet with every original book pack completes the history file along with an original sales brochure.

A very well known car to the BMW Car Club Great Britain, the car featured in the August 2008 and May 2009 club magazine with the member owners story of his time with the car.  This amazing example represents a rare surviving unmolested example with a history file second to none.  Never wanting for anything and not to be missed.

MOT November 2015, HPI Clear, Approved Used Car Check Certificate.
