All trim sections, bumpers, scoops and spoilers are immaculate and the door apertures are spotless with factory labels still fitted. The show worthy underside is incredible with all PDI markings clearly visible. The wheel apertures are flawless. This one-off example has benefited from the highest quality and professionally fitted upgrades as well as strict dry usage and an incredibly low 16,671 miles covered. INTERIOR
The perfectly executed programme of upgrades as per the above specification. The STi interior and steering wheel are as new with no visible wear or discoloration whatsoever. The carpets, door cards and headlining are all pristine. The excitement starts at first turn of the key where the driver’s binnacle sited Perrins boost and exhaust gas temperature gauges burst into life. Neatly and discreetly located is the Tein EDFC controller which allows the driver’s to effortlessly morph from road car into blistering rally machine. All switchgear is perfect and the functions and controls operate seamlessly including the original Subaru stereo system and ice-cold air-conditioning. Lifting the boot lid reveals an immaculate boot carpet as well as the original unused space saver spare wheel and Subaru tool pouch. This really is the ultimate family car exhilaration!
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The performance upgrades speak for themselves and are extensively categorised in the very comprehensive vehicle history file. Gorgeous twin-spoke 17” Gold alloy wheels fitted are in perfect condition and fitted with matching premium brand Uniroyal RainSport 215/45 R17 with masses of tread. Peer through the large spoke apertures and behold the sight of gleaming black KSport callipers and large ventilated discs that cannot fail to set the pulse racing of any petrol head. This upgraded braking system with the huge 330mm 2 piece grooved front discs ensure the awesome stopping power is easily enough to cope with the amazing performance.
HISTORY FILE
Registered brand new on the 23rd December 2002, the first owner was the now Late Mr Hugh Lamont who owned the car for twelve years. UK specified from Subaru main dealer in Den Haag, Netherlands, Mr Lamont, a well-known Subaru fanatic and avid member of the Subaru Owners Club was meticulous in his care for his cars and very focused in what he wanted this Subaru to be, hence the carefully researched programme of upgrades. His attention to detail is incredible and KGF Classic Cars had the pleasure of handling the sale of another one of his cars, a 7,000 mile MG Metro Turbo! It was only in 2014 and due to his declining health that the car was sold to serial low mileage car collector, Mr Gordon Maclean, who is the only other registered owner. An email with strict instructions to the new owner is provided by Mr Lamont including that it is only to be run on Shell V Power!
Having covered a fully warranted 16,671 miles from new with a comprehensive history file, this two-owner example is truly special. The original service booklet contains 12 stamped entries, the most recent in October 2020 at 16,626 miles. The vehicle has had two documented cambelt changes. The complete book pack and dealership point of sale literature is held within the Subaru document wallet and there are two Subaru remote keys and alarm fobs. A large beautifully presented folder holds corresponding service invoices and every MOT certificate dating back to the very first in 2005 to fully verify the mileage as well as the cars dedicated care and maintenance. Every paper tax disc is neatly presented until their discontinuation.
