A magnificent E24 BMW 635 CSi with a remarkable 23,047 miles from new.

EQUIPMENT
Chrome bumpers with rubber insert, rubber side rubbing strips, front air dam, large regenerating front spoiler, black synthetic rear spoiler, brown tinted glass, double halogen headlamps, gas-pressure bonnet lifters, engine compartment light, chrome plated door sills, electric central locking with locking fuel cap, laminated windscreen, heated screen washer nozzles, heated drivers door lock, electrically adjustable and heated driver’s door mirror, full velour carpeting, courtesy lighting, rear shelf storage, first aid kit, cigar lighter with illuminated ashtray, leather steering wheel, Check Control panel. EXTERIOR
The unmistakable and elegant lines of the legendary BMW 635CSi are simply stunning and this beautiful example is finished in factory optional Graphite Metallic, (Code 087). The paintwork boasts a beautiful gleaming uniform finish and the factory panels are straight with linear gaps. Incredibly low miles, optimal storage conditions within prestige car collections and pampered upkeep have preserved this example in optimum condition. There are some very light frontal stone chips, a miniscule ding to the nearside front wing and a tiny repaired chip to the screen which do not detract from the amazing condition. All exterior trim, glass and lights remain in excellent order and the extensive chrome brightwork has a glorious mirror finish. The underside and wheel arch apertures are factory finish and very clean. The epitome of premium automotive engineering and one for the BMW connoisseur.

INTERIOR
The driver orientated ergonomically designed cockpit in this BMW 635CSi is pure sophistication and luxury and very advanced for 1980! The body contoured Parchment Leather seats are spotlessly clean and commensurate with the low 23,047 miles covered. The rear bucket shaped seats are wonderfully factory fresh along with all other interior materials. Carpets have been protected by fitted velour mats and the dashboard is completely free from any cracks. The rear parcel storage compartments contain the unused first aid kit still in the cellophane. All incorporated switches and functions are intact and operate as they should including the check control panel. The original and fully working Blaupunkt Paris Stereo finishes the retro 80’s look! The boot area is pristine and the tool kit complete. This interior is wonderfully preserved.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The legendary and time proven BMW six-cylinder inline engine needs little introduction. Fitted with the Bosch Motronic grid-controlled ignition and fuel injection, the power delivery is superbly effortless and smooth with the instant familiar silky engine note. The power output of 218bhp and 310Nm of torque propels the car from 0-60mph in just 8.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 133mph. The engine bay is an absolute delight in its incredible detailed presentation with all factory plates, stickers and bulkhead stamping as well as the bonnet underside label. The factory optional automatic transmission delivers precise and timely changes up and down the range and compliments the powerplant perfectly. The ultimate grand tourer driving experience.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The beautiful BMW light alloy rims are virtually are unmarked and shod in expensive specification correct Michelin TRX 220/55 VR390 tyres all-round. The dual twin-circuit braking system with servo assistance and front and rear ventilated brings this true performance contender to a straight and assured halt.

HISTORY FILE
First registered on the 15th August 1980 by BMW Main Dealers, Minden Motor Company of Bury St. Edmunds, this example was supplied to Orlan Tankers Limited as a company vehicle for the Managing Director. The car has covered a genuine 23,047 miles from new with just three further keepers, one of which was the famous Graham Dacre CBE collection forming the most pristine, original low mileage cars only. All handbooks, service book, sales brochure and even working torch keys and original tax disc holder are included. The most recent service was in January 2020 at main dealer Sytner BMW Swansea with corresponding service book entry. A further file of BMW main dealer invoices and MOT certificates dating as far back as 1985 completes the history file. This car will appeal to the most discerning of collectors and represents what must be one of the most original, low mileage cared for examples in existence.
