EXTERIOR
The iconic Porsche 911 has gained legendary status since its debut in 1963 and the 996, the first water cooled 911 to be produced, is fast becoming a hugely desirable modern classic Porsche. This 911 Targa is a perfect vehicle for those wanting open top enjoyment whilst retaining the look, security and dynamics of a full-bodied coupe. Finished in beautiful Meridian Metallic Pearl, (Code L6A6), a cost option when new, this example looks fantastic. The paintwork boasts a bright uniform shine and polished finish with only light cosmetic markings and touched in scratches commensurate with the age and mileage. All trim sections and bumpers are superb, and the xenon headlamps are crystal clear. The glass Targa roof, roll-up sun screen and rear screen are unmarked. Having covered just 48,262 miles from new, this very high specification example is firmly a modern classic to have.

INTERIOR
Sporting hand-crafted leather seats in 2+2 configuration finished in Black Leather, (Code AH), are factory optional. Having covered such low mileage, the supportive seats are in exemplary condition with firm seat structure and supple leather. Very light hairline creases to the driver’s seat bolsters can be seen. Door apertures display factory stickers. The luggage area is very clean and houses the unused space saver spare wheel still displaying rubber nobbles and coloured banding. The tightly grouped overlapping layout of the five gauges with the tachometer in the centre are an unmistakable testament to the 911’s racing heritage and everything functions correctly with precision including the climate control and CDR23 stereo. A rewarding and perfectly-engineered cockpit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The legendary flat six 3.6-litre engine in this 911 develops 320bhp at 6800rpm and 370Nm of torque at 4250rpm. A top speed of 173mph is quoted with 0-62mph despatched in 5.7 seconds. Lifting the engine lid reveals a spotlessly clean engine bay complete with factory stickers and the Mobil 1 Porsche Label. The factory optional Tiptronic S system with steering wheel shift control operates perfectly in harmony with the PSM (Porsche Stability Management).

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Desirable 18in Carrera 5-spoke alloy wheels with factory optional coloured Porsche crest centre caps remain in excellent condition with no kerb damage. Premium quality Bridgestone Potenza N Rated tyres were fitted in July 2020 and are of correct size 225/40 ZR18 front and 285/30 ZR18 rear. The 4-piston patented monobloc fixed callipers in black proudly and clearly display the Porsche inscription and grip tightly to the large vented cross-drilled discs, the front discs being brand new.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 4th October 2002 by Lindbrook Official Porsche Centre in Kent, this cherished example has covered a warranted 48,262 miles from new with full-service history. A thick file of documentation, all neatly filed, contains purchase invoices and makes fascinating reading including being sold as an Approved Used Porsche by Lancaster Main Dealers for £56,250.
