With one owner from new, 18,320 miles and full Ford main dealer service history, this factory original and totally standard Focus ST is one for the collector. A desirable 3-door version in factory optional and highly sought-after Electric Orange, (Code 7 4), which was the signature launch colour. The car looks incredible and boasts a vibrant uniform shine throughout. The original paintwork is virtually unmarked and all panels are pin straight. There is a tiny touched in chip to the rear bumper and another almost undetectable mark to the rear wing. The underside is super clean thanks to garaged storage and even fragile labels to the underside components remain intact. Supplying Ford main dealer number plates are fitted and the new vehicle invoice reveals the only owner requested the Focus badge to be removed, keeping the letters in a bag! All light clusters are crystal-clear. Unmolested examples with such outstanding credentials are rarely found and this car will delight even the most meticulous buyer.
Inside this Fast Ford are a pair of body-hugging Recaro Mondus sports seats swathed in two-tone ST Orange Cloth, (Code AY). The Recaro logos are embossed and stitched into the upholstery which is preserved in perfect condition. The ST Sports steering wheel, jet black headlining, submarine lighting, brushed aluminium gear knob and handbrake grip and racing pedals help to carry on the fast Ford tradition of injecting excitement into everyday family cars. Low mileage indicators such as unworn touch points and virtually unmarked door sill tread plates are evident. All functions and controls are fully operational and exactly as Ford intended, and the air conditioning is ice cold. A truly cossetted example and difficult to distinguish from a 2007 Ford showroom car.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the turbo-charged Ford 2.5 Duratec ST five-cylinder 20v unit with Variable Valve Timing, the power output achieved is 225bhp at 6000rpm and 320Nm torque at 4000rpm. The maximum speed is 152mph while 0-60 is dispatched in just 6.8 seconds! The totally standard engine bay is spotlessly clean with factory plates, stickers and labels visible. The Ford Durashift 6-speed gearbox is magnificent to use with precise short throw changes and the sound from the five pot turbo charged engine is awesome! Altogether, a phenomenal performing car and hugely entertaining driving experience.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unique 8 x 18in ST five-spoke rims with correct centre caps are unrestored and in almost pristine condition with only two minuscule marks to the offside front rim, barely noticeable. The collector seeking originality will be delighted to see the factory fitted Continental SportContact 2 tyres which should be replaced prior to usage due to age. In lieu of a spare wheel and correct for the ST model is the original Continental zip case with compressor and untouched tyre sealant. The braking system with ABS and electronic brake-force distribution incorporates discs all round and provides sure footed stopping power to match the formidable performance.
Registered new on the 3rd December 2007 by Ford Main Dealers, Sandicliffe Motor Group of Nottinghamshire, the car was ordered new by Mr Phil Swift and registered to his wife, Karen Swift. With just one owner from new and having covered just 18,320 miles, this untouched example is truly special. The new car order form, sales invoice and even receipts for funds paid and dealership welcome letters have been kept in the neat history folder. The V5 document read zero previous owners and the Ford document wallet houses all handbooks, guides and supplements along with the original service book. Four sets of keys with code tags are present. A file of receipts and Ford Main Dealer service invoices as well as every MOT certificate, carried out at the supplying main dealer, from the very first in 2010 further verifies the super low mileage. Look no further for a perfectly preserved and highly collectable Focus ST225, presented and performing exactly as Ford intended.
