INTERIOR
This high specification GTS Symphony boasts an interior space reminiscent of a 1988 showroom car and the comfort levels are out of this world! The Symphony pattern velour upholstery with reclining Monotrace front seats are in perfect condition, as are the plush matching door cards. The pristine and wonderfully ‘Renault-esque’ dashboard is instantly recognisable from this French maker and houses fully functioning equipment including the factory fitted stereo system, fingertip control and electrics pack. All Veglia gauges operate perfectly including the quirky oil level gauge. Natural veins to the unworn steering wheel and gear knob only found on very low mileage cars are clearly visible and the pedal rubbers are virtually new. As close to a new Renault 21 interior as anyone is likely to get.

Renault afficionados will know that the 21 range boasts the accolade of being the only production car ever to have four different wheelbases’ in relation to fitment of either the 1.7 transverse or 2.0 longitude engine and the saloon or Savanna/Nevada body shape. A spotless and unmolested engine compartment displays all the manufacturer plates, stickers and panel stampings as well as PDI paint dabs. The five-speed gearbox is tight and the widely regarded engine offers a very capable and lively drive, typical of a lightweight French car.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original ‘Crystal’ metal wheel trims with chrome outer ring are unique to the Symphony edition and are deliciously retro and in pristine order. In December 2018 four brand new premium Michelin Energy tyres were fitted and have masses of tread remaining.
