EXTERIOR
This striking Chevrolet light-duty truck is finished in glossy Pastellweiss, (Code 90D) and has an almost flawless appearance. The sparkling chrome tastefully graces all areas from the imposing front grille to the smoothie rear bumpers. The load-pulling look and forward slanting profile is enhanced with bright metal spear-type side designation plates and chrome headlamp bezels. The rear deck is beautifully finished in polished wood and stainless steel covered by an immaculate black quality waterproof material cover. All trim is in remarkable condition with only the bonnet chrome spears showing slight pitting. The underside is spotlessly clean with the chassis frame and diagonal bracing in perfect order. This Chevy hauler really is a Show Pony!

INTERIOR
A truly exceptional interior which is a period work of art. The cushioned black bench seat is in excellent condition and provides a perfect seating position to offer brilliant visibility through the one-piece wrap-around windshield. The instruments are grouped in a singular triangular cluster all functioning and illuminated in a beautiful light green. The colour coded metal dash with chrome knobs and controls look stunning and a period retro sound system is cleverly installed to work in perfect harmony with the rest of the controls. Quality black carpeting is fitted and secured by ornate chrome tread plates and are protected by rubber Chevrolet mats. Fabulous in all areas.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Chevrolet Task-Force truck is powered by a thumping 350 cubic inch 5700cc V8 engine fantastic in both performance and appearance. A four barrel Edelbrock Performer Carburetor with manual choke and Edelbrock Performer EPS intake manifold is designed for excellent throttle response and tuned for peak torque at 3500 rpm on this 350-inch engine making it ideal for power from off-idle to 5500 rpm. Emitting a purposeful and intoxicating V8 burble through twin-exit rear exhausts, this really is a hoot! The Turbo Hydra-Matic 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with floor selector operates perfectly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Striking are the immaculate Chevrolet chrome hub caps and embellishers shod in excellent period looking white wall Hercules MRX Plus 235/75 R15 tyres. Drum brakes all-round the vehicle stop this Chevrolet Task-Force truck surprisingly well despite its size and weight.

HISTORY FILE
The Chevrolet Task Force was Chevrolet’s successor to the Advance Design trucks. The Task Force Series ran from 1955 through to 1959 and this 1957 3100 Stepside is an American icon in every sense. A ridiculously thick file of history accompanies this amazing machine even prior to its UK entry in 2012 whereby it has been enjoyed by two former keepers. Copious hand written notes detailing every aspect prove the attention to detail lavished on this Chevrolet light-duty truck. There are invoices dating back to the mid-seventies where it resided in California and it is clearly evident this Chevy hauler has been loved through all the decades. Forming part of a diverse collection consisting of everything from a 1960 Morris Mini to this American V8 Muscle Truck and only selling to downsize a fleet of 25 plus classics, this really is an amazing opportunity.

HPI clear.
