EXTERIOR
This incredible surviving Skoda Favorit not only has just 20,456 miles from new but is one of rarest models ever made, the Black Line Edition. The Black Line chrome effect insignia to the rear quarters and matching unique flash to the front wings are fully intact and features such as the rear roof spoiler and dark-tinted rear lights make the car stand out. The standard Black Line exhaust cover has been replaced. All trim, Bertone and registration etched glass and light fittings are in excellent order. Quite possibly the best surviving Skoda Favorit Black Line Edition to be found anywhere?

INTERIOR
Being a post 1991 Favorit, the year in which Skoda entered the joint-venture partnership with Volkswagen, this example benefits from positive revisions to the interior in addition to improvements to exterior build quality, styling and safety. Volkswagen seats, dashboard and instruments were incorporated and you cannot fail to notice the vibrant special seat upholstery, the pattern of which is shared with the sister variant, the Silver Line Edition, but with a deliciously 90’s colour scheme unique to the Black Line. All interior furnishings, door cards, carpets and headlining are beautifully clean and preserved in line with the low mileage. The equipment and controls operate perfectly including the factory fitted Blaupunkt Paris stereo and central locking fitted as standard to the model. The luggage area is spotless and even the original boot torch remains in place but currently inoperational. Perfect modern classic family motoring for those who insist on being different!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The front mounted four-cylinder engine was a significant departure from Skoda’s traditional rear mounted engine fitted to the Favorit’s predecessors, the 105/120 Estelle and Rapid range. The 1289cc unit features Bosch Mono Motronic fuel injection and produces 54bhp and 94Nm of torque to achieve a top speed of 93mph and 0-62mph in 15 seconds. The engine bay is spotlessly clean with factory plates, chassis number stamp, PDI dabs and stickers all present and undamaged. Incredibly even the paint code label remains attached to the bulkhead which is virtually unheard of! Likewise, the common areas prone to water retention and corrosion are absolutely perfect in structure. The sturdy 5-speed gearbox is superb in operation.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Ronal Centra diamond cut alloy wheels with Black glossy inner finish are pristine and complete with lockable centre caps. Matching tyres are fitted all round with excellent tread. The servo assisted braking system is factory standard and stops the car as it should.

Simplicity was the ethos behind these cars to the extent where the specification was a ‘take it or leave it’ affair with no factory options available! The black seat fabric with clean white stripe stitching is in incredible condition with no thinning or rips and the black vinyl door cards are fully intact. The carpets exude durability over opulence and the hard-wearing pile is free from damage and protected by the original sturdy Skoda tray mats which do show some aging. The huge front luggage compartment with quirky side hinged hood is clean and still has the protective mat and tool roll as well as bulkhead chassis stamp, VIN plate, AZNP build plate and delicate labels. Perfect retro family motoring for those who dare to be different!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The rear mounted four-cylinder OHV engine is factory fitment and famed for its toughness and ability to cope with the harshness of its Eastern Bloc origins. The engine compartment is very clean and complete with the original jack and even the fragile Skoda Recommend Duckhams sticker remains on the blue air filter housing. The standard braking system has been completely overhauled in 2022.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Skoda Main Dealer, Athlone Motor Co. of Warrington, the car was registered on the 1st May 1989 to the first and only keeper, Mrs Haselden. All purchase documentation including the deposit receipt, order form and sales invoice confirms
the price paid of £4,060.56 less part exchange allowance of £1,800 for Mrs Haselden’s 1974 Volkswagen Beetle. The history file includes the original handbook and service schedule as well as the initial PDI checklist. MOT certificates date back to the very first in 1992 until 2004 when the car was taken off the road upon Mrs Haselden ceasing driving. Post 2004 there are tax reminder notices/SORN applications relevant to the years the car was not in use and the last tax disc from 2004 remains in the front screen.

In March 2022 KGF Classic Cars purchased the car from a charity lot at Manor Park Classics auction which was highly publicised by TV personalities Paul Cowland and Fuzz Townshend with all profits donated to the Ukrainian Refugee Fund. Over the last seven months here at KGF Classic Cars, we have thoroughly immersed ourselves in the world of Skoda’s and the car has undergone total recommissioning with lots of blood, sweat and tears, a real labour of love! Every aspect of the car was checked, tested and the program of works included full overhaul of ignition system, fuel and carburation, total renewal of braking system, major service, new tyres and electrical wellness. The car is remarkably original and some localised professional paintwork has been carried out to bring the car back to the glory you see today.

Following on from the initial motive to buy the car, KGF Classic Cars will donate all profits from the sale of this car to Ukrainian Refugee Fund. Contained in the large history file is a full breakdown of all works undertaken. We are immensely proud of this little Skoda and the car now looks and performs just as it should and never fails to put a smile on your face whenever you drive it, and the attention it attracts is simply wonderful!

A Lifestyle Edition of 612 UK Skoda Felicia Fun Pickups with only 17,301 miles.

MODEL HISTORY
Released as a limited-edition Lifestyle Vehicle in 1997 and produced until 2001, the Skoda Felicia Fun was a huge departure from the marques usual staid and sensible family vehicles. Built at the Skoda factory in Vrchlabí, Czech Republic, the intention was to produce just 300 units for the UK market. As much as a surprise that Skoda produced the car in the first place was that the car was very well received in the UK market despite the vehicles design somewhat ill-suited to UK climate. In total 612 cars were sold into the UK. All cars were factory finished in Yellow Fun paint and featured the ingenious sliding rear bulkhead to reveal 2 folding rear seats which were exposed to the elements. UK buyers thankfully were offered respite from the poor weather with a number of factory optional additional roof combinations. Most cars came with a darker yellow body kit, bumpers and trim and in some rare instances buyers were able to choose this body kit colour scheme in orange or green.
