A one-off creation Austin Mini Cooper Replica known as ‘Baby Blue’.

EQUIPMENT
Chrome enhancements including;  bumpers, door handles, door mirrors, grille, driving lamps, wiper arms, washer jets, petrol cap, number plate surrounds, boot hinges.  Rear fog light, wooden sports steering wheel, heated rear window, two-speed heater, hazard lights, brake failure warning light, oil pressure warning light, two rear companion boxes.

EXTERIOR
This stunning Mini is finished in pastel Baby Blue with an English White roof.  A beautiful uniform shine never fails to generate affectionate smiles from onlookers.  Mirror finish chrome enhancements and detailing is pristine and helps separate this Mini as something very special and carefully created.  All the glass is number plate etched and has a faint blue tint to match the exterior. Original stickers in the screens are still attached such as the Ziebart rust protection and front Triplex Laminated sticker.  The roof gutter channel is slightly discoloured and one tiny ding to the top driver’s door is present.  No usual Mini rust issues and an absolute hoot to drive.  This car is a crowd pleaser!

INTERIOR
The interior of this outstanding Mini is wonderful and is beautifully colour coordinated to match the exterior.  Alert individuals will truly appreciate how perfectly the Blue Tartan cloth seats work in harmony with the rest of the car to offer a designer chic look.  Soft vinyl seat edges which match the unworn door cards are all in remarkable condition and new carpeting offers a luxury feel.  All the instrumentation is in working order and presented in a simple manner.  The original headlining has slight discolouration to the outer edges and an expensive three-spoke wooden steering wheel finishes the delightful package.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Mini is in excellent mechanical order with the 998cc 4-cylinder transverse OHV engine producing a healthy 40bhp.  Simple mechanics, excellent parts availability and frugal fuel consumption will keep running and maintenance costs to a minimum.  A precise 4-speed manual gearbox which is light to use.  If you have driven a mini before you will know it is pure fun and this example is no exception!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Eye catching Supalight 8-spoke gunmetal grey alloy wheels with brushed aluminium outer edges are unmarked. Quality Falken 165/60 R12 tyres all-round with excellent tread have recently been fitted.  The servo assisted dual line hydraulic brakes bring the car to a straight and assured halt.  Very responsive handling and manoeuvrability and surprisingly comfortable.

HISTORY FILE
Purchased by the previous owner as a low owner, low mileage Austin Mini in May 2007, he undertook a design challenge to produce a Mini Cooper Replica with all the charm and simplicity of the original 1960’s examples.  Used as a hobby car after completion to attend various shows and Mini events with his family this car now presents itself as a perfect and iconic cult classic for a fortunate new owner.

EXTERIOR
This classic Mini warrants little introduction having gained iconic status and is widely regarded as one of the most ground breaking and historically significant cars of all time.  This late example is finished in its original British Racing Green and Old English White colour scheme (code WE0).  The vibrant paint finish is simply stunning with a deep lustrous polished shine.  All factory panels are straight and damage free with clearly defined seam lines.  Even sharp eyed scrutineers will struggle to fault this example which is testament to the exceptionally low mileage and careful indoor storage.  All trim sections, chrome work, badges and decals are in prime order.  The driving lights are original fitments and fully operate.  A truly exceptional example.

INTERIOR
Lavishly trimmed, the factory optional full leather interior in Stone Beige (Code SMJ), is in pristine order thanks again to the very low miles.  Natural light veins to the steering wheel often worn smooth on most examples remain prominent but the gear knob colouring has faded slightly.  The carpets are immaculate and the door cards are in perfect condition.  The cream faced instruments set within the burr walnut facia function correctly along with all other controls.  The correct stereo cassette player with the Mini logo remains fitted.  The spotless boot area houses a 12” sports style alloy spare wheel.  A stunning classic Mini interior, totally unspoilt and faultless.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The time proven Rover Group A-Series engine used in the final production cars utilises the 1275cc unit mated to the MEMS 2j controlled Multi-Point fuel Injection, lowers emissions and increases performance to produce a punchy 62bhp.  The factory standard exhaust gives an unobtrusive rasp which adds to the mini experience.  The spotless engine bay has chrome enhancement pack fitted to enable bonnet up exhibiting.  The four speed gearbox is smooth, precise and a pleasure to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The colour coded Pepperpot 12 inch alloy wheels with Mini Cooper centre logo caps are in fantastic order.  The tyres are the popular Yokohama A539 165/60 R12 with masses of tread remaining.  Also available by separate negotiation the factory original 12” sports style alloy wheels with factory Pirelli tyres.  The servo assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums bring the car to a prompt and assured halt.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 1st March 2000 by Rover Main Dealers Abercromby of Edinburgh, this example has covered just 19,117 from new with four formers owners, one of which bought the vehicle back after regretting the sale and missing it dearly.  The history file is complimentary with the original Mini Service booklet containing dealer stamps and specialist stamps leaving no doubt to the meticulous attention which has been given to the vehicle maintenance.

Furthermore, the history file contains supporting invoices and MOT certificates, all alongside the mini leather folder containing all handbooks and guides.  Even the salesman’s business cards and security cards are still on show.  Two sets of keys with remote fobs are present.  This truly remarkable classic example guaranteed to delight any classic Mini collector and enthusiast alike.
