EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR
To witness an unmolested Lancia Beta Coupe in full spender is a rare occurrence and this particular Ice White, (code 182), is truly exceptional.  Testament to the cars excellent condition is the request by the Lancia Motor Club to have the car featured at this year’s Lancaster Insurance NEC Classic Motor Show.  All the trim, badging and glass is in prime condition with the glass and quad Carello headlamps etched with the registration number.  One unit has a minor chip.  To maintain the appearance and in preparation for the NEC show a decision was made to paint the lower side sills but absolutely no corrosion or rust issues are to be found which obliterated the marque resulting in few survivors now available.  The bonnet shut lines are poor as per the models displayed in the new car brochure also included!  A stunning red blooded example.

INTERIOR
Fabulously appointed in Blue/Grey velvet textured cloth this range topping Lancia is factory perfect having covered such few miles.  The driver is presented with a wealth of information thanks to no less than eight gauges and even the oil level indicator push button and inbuilt test button still operate but the voltmeter does not.  All carpeting, door cards and headlining is spotlessly clean and provides a nostalgic unspoilt cockpit.  Fragile plastics are all remarkably free from damage and cracks and the period Pioneer cassette player mated to an electric aerial still functions.  Flair in abundance from a renowned Italian stable.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Four cylinders in-line and positioned transversely has a displacement of 1995cc and produces 115bhp with electronic ignition.  This enables a top speed of 117mph and 0-62mph in 9.5 seconds.  A 5-speed fully synchronised gearbox operated through a single dry plate clutch gives progressive feel and copes well with the most powerful engine in the range.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Being the 2000 model light alloy wheels are standard, unmarked and beautiful.  Recently fitted 175/70 R14 tyres have ample tread.  Disc brakes all round with Superduplex system incorporating two independent front and rear circuits stop the car effectively.

HISTORY FILE
Incredibly this vehicle has remained enthusiast owned from new with the current owner knowing the previous owner who in turn knows the previous owner and so the pattern continues amongst all seven former mainly Lancia Motor Club members.  Displayed at this year’s Lancaster Insurance NEC Classic Motor Show to much admiration of show attendees this example has enjoyed a pampered life and is now ready for another appreciative custodian

HPI clear.
