EXTERIOR
This gorgeous Alfa Romeo 147 GTA is the flagship model in the 147 Range and uses the GTA badge dating back to 1965 when the Giulia Sprint GTA collected a string of victories on the roads and race tracks of the world in the Sixties and Seventies. Finished in original solid Black, (Code 601), and protected new with Supaguard treatment, a spectacular shine and mirror finish is simply stunning. Large air intakes and the low, wide-bodied stance hint towards the racing pedigree. The lines of this Italian masterpiece are unspoilt with all panels, straight and free from damage and all trim is well preserved. Close inspection reveals little more than light stone chips, markings and a miniscule ding to the offside rear wheel arch. Aficionados will be pleased to see factory glass with etching and stickers and supplying dealer number plates still fitted, although there is some delamination to the rear glass edges. With styling cues instantly recognisable as Alfa Romeo and akin to an artisan masterpiece, this blistering hot hatch is breathtakingly beautiful.

INTERIOR
Factory optional leather sports seats in Black and Stone Grey offer immense support and are preserved in superb order. The huge protruding bolsters retain correct shape to harness the occupants and there is only very light wear to the driver’s seat outer bolster. The matching door cards and flocked style coverings to the lower dashboard and doors are immaculate. Light scratches are visible to the inner door handles. All equipment and controls are fully operational, including the climate control, cruise control, navigation and heated front seats. Factory stickers remain in the door apertures, and the leather bound three spoke steering wheel and gear knob are virtually perfect. The boot area is pristine with the chrome paint code sticker, and factory Fix and Go compressor, tyre sealant and toolkit both in the stylish leather wallets which closer resemble screen designer handbags and cement the notion that Alfa Romeo can make even the most mundane items look stylish!

Formidable performance and exceptional handling, this car achieves a top speed of 153mph and 0-62mph is despatched in just 6.3 seconds! The engine bay is nothing short of a work of art with six prominent chrome inlet manifold pipes and red lettering as well as all factory stickers, plates and strut top chassis stamp. Even the unbonnet stickers remain intact. The slick 6-speed manual short-throw gearbox is perfectly matched to this powerful and poised driving machine.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique 17-inch Supersport alloy wheels in Sparkle Silver finish are immaculate, as are the centre caps with iconic badge depicting the red ‘Milan’ cross with serpent. Matching Bridgestone Turanza 225/45 R17 tyres were fitted in 2018 and are virtually unused. Large bright red callipers, twin piston Brembo to the front, are clearly visible through the large circular openings, which coupled with ventilated 305mm front and 276mm rear discs make for rapid, efficient braking.

The light alloy four cylinder in-line unit in this 1300 TI model features two overhead camshafts and a vertical twin-choke carburettor.  Displacing 1290cc, this 94bhp unit fires promptly at the turn of the key and delivers quiet yet eager performance.  Completely unmolested from the factory, the manual choke and hand throttle control remain fitted and operate perfectly.  Matching the engine exactly is the original five speed all-synchro gearbox, the only saloon car in its power bracket at the time to feature five forward speeds!  A truly delightful driving experience and one not to be missed.
