EXTERIOR
This range topping ultimate performance First Generation Celica is the rare and very desirable GTV model presented in immaculate condition. Adopting the “coke bottle styling” and finished in gloss Toyota Green, (Code 614), the finish is sensational. Features such as the raised bonnet air flutes and GTV decals contrast beautifully against the colour and the all chrome has a mirror finish. Perfectionists will be pleased to see correct fitment items such as the Kato halogen headlamps and brake and turn signal “bubble” lenses. Wheel arch apertures and the underside is spotlessly clean and detailed to a show standard. This is a very special car, unmodified and excels in all aspects. A real collectors item.

INTERIOR
Being the high performance GTV variant the interior is supposedly less luxurious to reduce weight but is still very well appointed and has high specification. Stunning Black contoured front bucket seats with integral headrests are pristine along with the rest of the interior. The vinyl leatherette covered instrument panel gear knob and steering wheel along with the deep pile floor carpeting show no wear and all instrumentation including the Jeco electric clock works. The boot area is spotless with the Celica tool roll and jack in secured in the correct place. Simply fabulous.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The jewel in the Celica line up is the 1600cc 2T-G Twin Cam engine equipped with Solex Mikuni 40mm DCOE sidedraft carburettors to produce 124bhp at 6400rpm. Lifting the bonnet will draw gasps of amazement with a meticulously detailed and factory correct engine bay. All bolts, clips and fasteners have been replated. The original metal identification plate slightly tarnished provides all the numbers confirming rare GTV specification. Fitted with the 5F1 first in the series of 5 speed manual gearboxes the changes are light and precise. Perfect.

WHEELS, TYRES, BRAKES & SUSPENSION
Immaculate pressed steel mags with the correct chrome Toyota centre caps and embellishers are shod in branded tyres all round with ample tread. Front disc brakes and rear drums with auto adjuster help prevent locking up of rear wheels under heavy braking and a tandem master cylinder with a vacuum booster provides good braking. Being the high performance GTV version the vehicle is fitted from factory with firmer suspension for better handling and is all beautifully detailed.

HISTORY FILE
This First Generation TA22 Toyota Celica is incredibly rare being the GTV model offered exclusively with performance enhancements from new and is the ultimate Japanese Domestic Market, JDM factory car. Arriving in the UK in July 2008 through JCW International Ltd and sourced for Mr Gerald Mcdaid, a Japanese car fanatic desperate to find the Holy Grail. The sum of £4,660 was paid for a non-runner but factory correct car and the next seven years was spent restoring this now pristine example. Highly regarded amongst the Toyota community with awards from the Toyota Enthusiasts Club at the TEC National 2016 for Best Restoration. This car is a real testament to Geralds, affectionately known as Ged to family and friends, vision, passion and dedication to own one of the best Toyota Celicas in existence. KGF Classic Cars were honoured when approached by the family to find Ged’s pride and joy a new home after his sudden passing.

All the handbooks and a service book supplied new with the car are still present along with the Toyota comprehensive tool kit and spare keys. One for the perfection seeking collector appreciative of rare Japanese performance vehicles.
