Dealer accessories; Tracker system, tailored carpet mats.

EXTERIOR
The iconic Porsche 911 has gained legendary status since its debut in 1963, and the design lines of the 996 clearly echo the original machines bloodline.  This outstanding Carrera 2 Coupe is finished in factory original Polar Silver Metallic, (Code L92M), a cost option when new of £978.78.  The factory paint finish is beautifully preserved owing to the incredibly low 21,675 miles covered since new and heated garage storage.  All original panels are completely undamaged and only close scrutiny will reveal very light deterioration to the lacquer on the lower sills, barely visible and left untreated in order to uphold originality.  All trim sections and bumpers are pristine, and the headlamp covers often prone to yellowing are crystal clear.  Meticulous scrutineers will note very light delamination to one corner of the windscreen and a small chip.  The supplying Porsche Main Dealer front and rear number plates remain fitted.  A fascinating example of vehicular evolution, beautifully represented in this outstanding example.  One of the best!

INTERIOR
Alluring hand-crafted leather seats finished in Metropole Blue Leather, (Code EX), are further enhanced with factory optional Porsche crests embossed into the seat backs.  Having covered such low mileage, the supportive seats are in exemplary condition with firm seat structure and supple leather.  One tiny mark and very light hairline creases to the driver’s seat bolster are evident.  Genuine tailored Porsche velour mats have protected the carpets from new.  The door shuts and luggage areas are factory fresh with stickers still attached including the VIL (Vehicle Identification Label) to the bonnet underside.   The tightly grouped overlapping layout of the five gauges with the tachometer in the centre are an unmistakable testament to the 911’s racing heritage and everything functions correctly with precision.  A rewarding, practical and perfectly-engineered cockpit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The legendary flat six 3.6-litre engine in this 911 develops 320bhp at 6800rpm and 370Nm of torque at 4250rpm.  A top speed of 177mph is quoted with 0-62mph despatched in 5.0 seconds.  Lifting the engine lid reveals a spotlessly clean engine bay complete with factory stickers and the Mobil 1 Porsche Label.  The preferred 6-speed manual gearbox is precise with a short throw and a light hydraulic clutch action, the driver’s choice.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Filling the spotless wheel apertures are optional 18in Carrera alloys wheels with factory optional coloured Porsche crest centre caps, all in pristine condition.  Premium quality Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tyres have masses of tread and the unused space saver spare wheel is housed in the immaculate front luggage area complete with the original Mobil 1 spare oil zip-bag and official Porsche screen wash.   The lightweight jack, tools and brace are all present.  The 4-piston patented monobloc fixed callipers in original black proudly and clearly display the Porsche inscription and grip tightly to the vented cross-drilled discs.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 1st September 2003 by Lancaster Porsche Centre Colchester, this original example covered a warranted 21,675 miles with just two former keepers.  A new car order form and subsequent sales invoice made out to the first owner, Mr Russell Silberston, confirms a price paid by him of £58,945.05 including factory options.  This exceptional example benefits from full Porsche Main Dealer service history with the original service record containing eight stamped entries, all Porsche Main Dealer and the first seven being the supplying dealer, Lancaster Porsche Centre.  In May 2018 at 21,674 miles the car was sent to Porsche Centre Nottingham for a Major Maintenance Service, full inspection and MOT.  All handbooks, guides and dealership literature are kept in the black leather Porsche wallet along with the unused supplying dealer tax disc holder and two Porsche keys plus master.

A further comprehensive history folder holds supporting Porsche Main Dealer service invoices to correspond with the stamped entries and every MOT certificate from the first in 2006.  Completing the history file are further invoices for consumables and the original Tracker installation pack.  A truly magnificent, preserved and pampered example becoming difficult to find with such exceptional provenance.  One for the connoisseur and Porsche collector.
