EQUIPMENT
Four sealed-beamed headlights, front air spoiler, full length coach stripe, opening front quarter-lights, vinyl roof, heated rear window, rear armrest, drivers seat height adjustment with recline, adjustable steering column, walnut facia, Thru Flow ventilation system with 2-speed booster fan, seat stretch pockets, tachometer, water and battery gauges, combination dial with warning lamps, electric clock, cigar lighter, hazard warning switch, twin wind-tone horns, four ashtrays.  Factory Equipment: Tinted laminated windscreen.

EXTERIOR
This range-topping Dolomite Sprint is finished in Carmine Red, (Code 82) and has a deep rich shine thanks to a privileged pampered existence.  The black grained vinyl roof is in perfect order and sporting features unique to the Sprint model such as the full length coach strip and matt black rear end panel remain present.  The heavily chromed wrap around front and rear bumpers show a little dulling but do not detract from the show like appearance.  All Sprint badging is proudly displayed along with the original period number plates.  A rare British icon in such unmolested condition.

INTERIOR
Lavishly appointed in Chesnut brushed broadcord Bri-Nylon trim, (Code C63), the interior condition reflects the cossetted low owner credentials.  Fitted plush pile carpet with integral underlay retain their colour with only minor wear apparent under close scrutiny.   The elegant walnut facia and deep wood veneer door cappings really have defied age thanks to dry garage storage.  The comprehensive range of instruments, controls and switches are all functional except for the electric clock.  Comfort and support is guaranteed with wide front fully adjustable seats.  The boot area is spotlessly clean with an unbroken plywood support.  Remarkably factory correct in all respects.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The jewel in this model is the powerful 1998cc slant 4 engine with 16 valves, cross flow ports, aluminium cylinder head and twin SU carbs.  Maximum power is quoted at 127bhp with 0-60mph despatched in 9.2 seconds and a M.I.R.A recorded 116mph top speed.  Comprehensive invoices will reassure the next custodian with regards to the mechanical upkeep and correct operation.  The sturdy 4-speed transmission with working overdrive is light, precise and a delight to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The Sprint was the first British saloon to wear alloy wheels as standard and the stylish GKN wheels on this example are immaculate shod with branded tyres displaying ample tread.  Front discs and rear drums with servo boost give good stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
The British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate confirms the date of build of this desirable Sprint model to be the 21st March 1974.  Registered by Barnard Motors Limited on the 6th June 1974 this cherished example has only had three former keepers from new.  Owned by Mrs Sonia Ziegler for 26 years and Triumph enthusiasts since, this car really has been pampered.  The history files reveals thousands spent by renowned specialists including Jigsaw Racing Services and represents a superb fully documented and rare find.  A replacement speedo was fitted in 2015 at 67,254 miles and now reads 3,610 so is unwarranted.   The history file includes many invoices, MOT certificates, previous registration documents a sales brochure and all spare keys.  This is an historically important British motoring icon and presents in fabulous, usable show condition.
