SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

An astonishing Jaguar Sport XJR-S 6.0 Litre with one owner and 69,078 miles.

EQUIPMENT
Front air dam, rear apron, deep sill mouldings, boot mounted spoiler, twin tail pipes, ‘Sport’ front grille badge, 6.0 Litre rear badge, black satin grille with V12 engine plaque, headlamp wash-wipe, body coloured door mirrors, heated screen washers, air conditioning, hand-polished walnut veneer, cruise control, multi-function trip computer, adjustable steering column, etched stainless steel treadplates, central locking, kerb illumination lamps, heated front seats, electric aerial.  Optional equipment: Electric glass sunroof.

EXTERIOR
This sublime sporting Jaguar offers finesse and exhilaration even at standstill finished in cool Arctic Blue, (Code JFE).  A beautiful glossy sheen is visible thanks to two clear coats of lacquer applied at factory and a garaged existence from the only owner.  The purposeful aerodynamic aids, all in amazing condition, separate this rare edition from lesser models and remind onlookers of the collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing.  A few discreet blemishes namely to the front bumper in the form of stone chips will not prevent those enjoying the show circuit.  The engine bay has not been detailed and still retains all factory warning stickers.  A rare prime example that started the 26-year lineage of Jaguar’s official R-badged road cars.

INTERIOR
Immediately apparent as a true Jaguar thanks to lavish piped and stitched Connolly hide which was supplied exclusively for the Jaguar Sport is still sumptuous and matches the unique Momo of Milan sports steering wheel.  Finished throughout in Magnolia with immaculate walnut veneer the detail can be seen with unique sport features such as the XJR-S embossed headrests.  The stainless steel treadplates have minor markings and all the controls, switches and gauges function perfectly.  The Jaguar DAC5574 cassette player has power but no sound.  An unused jack and wheel brace are found in the carpeting bag along with the toolkit in the hard plastic case.  The screwdriver is missing.   An immensely rewarding interior and fit to grace the once fastest road going Jaguar.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Being the 1990 model year this rare example has the awesome 6.0 litre engine.  Providing 362lb/ft of torque at 3750rpm and 318bhp this has a claimed top speed of 158mph (limited) and 0-60mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and amounted to a 17% increase in torque and 11% more power than the 5.3 litre engine.  Re-engineered crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods, cylinder liners and new sequential digital ignition engine management system made by Zytek and derived from the Group C World Sportscar Jaguars are a few noteworthy performance upgrades.  The transmission is a special Hydramatic-developed version of the legendary GM 400 automatic gearbox uprated and re-calibrated to match the 6.0 litre engine so changes are crisp and responsive.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Exclusive 8X16 Speedline aerodynamic light alloy wheels are pristine and shod in correctly sized Michelin Piolet HX tyres with ample tread.  Electronically controlled anti-lock braking system with YAW control and recent main dealer overhaul ensures safe stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Jaguar main agents, Jaguar House Ltd on the 15th January 1990 to the only keeper, Mr Roberts.  Purchased by his company, Roberts & Griffiths Engineering Ltd as a reward for business success he then kept the car on retirement in April 2002.  A photo in the history files shows the proud day of collection at the dealer with his family!  Jaguar main dealer maintained throughout with the last entry in January 2013 by Rybrook Jaguar totalling £2651.33.  KGF Classic Cars upon acquiring this unique vehicle had highly respected Nene Jag Specialists Ltd carry out a full check and service at a cost of £1055.03 ensuring the new owner can thoroughly enjoy this example.
All handbooks contained within the XJR-S embossed magnolia leather handbook are included.
