EXTERIOR
This superb Audi is finished in the Tornado Red which retains a glorious deep shine and has remained in remarkable condition with no colour fade whatsoever.  The quality of the finish is proof of the high standards Audi adopted and helps make this preserved car a genuine example.  The vehicle has a small isolated patch of paint blisters at the bottom of the drivers A Pillar which has been noted a number of years ago.  The sunroof operates perfectly with no rust and a tight seal.  A minor scuff on the front plastic bumper trim and faint hairline scratches on the drivers window can be seen on close inspection.  Original Audi Dealer supplied front and rear number plates are still fitted.  An unmolested genuine vehicle.

INTERIOR
A true Audi experience with quality elegant design matched with ergonomic comfort and functional control.  All gauges, controls and displays function perfectly.  The clarity of the instrument pod provides accurate readings easily and quickly with extra information from the centre console gauges standard in this GT model.  The trim is finished in the upmarket GT specification of Brazil Brighton Tweed with matching velour carpets and door panels.  The drivers seat base has had a smart repair.   A modern CD player is installed however the original Blaupunkt Autoradio remains boxed ready to install if desired.  Factory fitted stickers remain intact. A wonderful, spacious and driver focused environment to be sat in. 

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This Audi Coupe is the GT model powered by the 2.0 litre, 5-cylinder 115 bhp fuel injected engine.  It is an incredibly flexible powertrain offering smoothness of a larger 6 cylinder engine and excellent throttle response of a smaller 4 cylinder.  A wonderful exhaust note can be heard under acceleration.  The 5 speed gearbox is light and precise.  A real pleasure to drive.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Four sports alloy wheels with minor age related wear shod in good quality Michelin Energy 185/60 R 14 tyres.  Powerful brakes bring the car to a halt safely and quickly.

HISTORY FILE
Only two owners from new and 70,511 miles.   The first,  a Mr Lustep took delivery from Audi Maidstone on the 1st August 1985 and remained loyal to that Main Dealer for the next 23 years with a remarkable 24 Audi Main Dealer services detailed over two service books! The second, a Mr Webb kept the vehicle garaged for weekend use.  All handbooks, manuals, instructions remain contained in the blue Audi Wallet.  Two sets of keys present and even the original sales brochure from new!
