SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR REQUIRED

A superb UK Yamaha Enduro DT175MX with 3,888 miles and matching numbers.

EQUIPMENT
Monocross suspension, long-travel damper, speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, ignition switch incorporating park light, turn signal switch, headlight switch, dimmer switch, neutral indicator, two-stroke oil light, horn, Magura-style levers, rear view mirrors, rear footrests, fuel valve, steering lock, helmet holder.

EXTERIOR
Finished in classic White this iconic and successful motor-crosser looks fantastic. The petrol tank has no markings and the distinctive blue and black decals are vibrant and clear. The removable plastic side panels have no scuffs and the seat material is original and undamaged which still displays the Yamaha logo clearly and even an unbroken pillion strap! The black specially-fabricated sub-frame is clean with a few touched in marks and the flexible, high level louvered front mudguard is straight. The correct Koito headlamp remains fitted with a chrome protector along with two rear view mirrors. All lighting and instrumentation is functional. A fabulously usable example.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The famous Yamaha Torque Induction is one of the reasons for the fun power delivery of the Endro engine unit displacing 171cc. The correct Mikuni carburettor is still fitted along with the original MX high level exhaust system. 15bhp is quoted at 7000rpm and 16Nm of torque making this a capable performer both on road or trail. This is a matching engine/frame bike. The toughened 6-speed gearbox is smooth and the gears are widely spaced to take advantage of the power band.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Factory spoked wheels still display a mirror chrome finish thanks the minimal use and indoor storage and correctly sized 2.75-21 front and 3.50-18 rear tyres with ample tread are fitted. Drum brakes front and rear provide adequate braking.

HISTORY FILE
First registered on the 11th April 1980 this UK matching numbers bike has only had two former keepers and covered just 3,888 miles. MOT certificates dating back to 1985 help verify the low miles covered. The previous custodian purchased this motorbike in July 2000 having owned one when new and wanted the very best unmolested example he could find. Fast forward 16 years and after removal from careful storage and full recommissioning this iconic and fondly remembered 2-stroke is ready for the next proud owner.
