EXTERIOR

INTERIOR
This original Escort RS Turbo has a perfect and stylish interior which remains exactly how the manufacturer intended.  The fully adjustable supportive Recaro seats show no wear to the Zolda fabric (Code LW) with the ever popular Shadow grey, red and blue pattern.  Matching door cards are pristine with only minor markings to the driver’s door pull, a common occurrence on these cars.  The pristine carpets have been beautifully preserved and have retained complete fullness to the pile.  All switches, knobs and dials function correctly and the fully operational Ford Self-Seek stereo radio/cassette with separate power amplifier remains fitted with original speakers.  The boot area is spotless with original build stickers and markings intact.  A truly magnificent example of this legendary fast Ford.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 1.6 OHC (CVH) fuel injected engine with a Garrett AiResearch T3 turbo charger and intercooler is completely factory standard making this vehicle a rare example that is now the exception.  Producing 132bhp in such a lightweight car, the 0-60 dash is dealt with in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 128mph is achieved.  A factory original exhaust system is fitted.  Having only covered a mere 22,703 miles, the 5-speed manual Ford BC box with standard 220mm clutch is light, precise and a joy to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The correct light alloy 6X15 RS wheels remain undamaged and pristine with the Ford logo and part numbers raised and visible.  Five matching quality 195/50 R15 Goodyear Eagle tyres have masses of tread remaining with the spare item unused and factory original.  This 1980’s ‘Hot Hatch’ icon stops as well as it goes with the ABS braking system designed in conjunction with Lucus Girling working perfectly.
